Biography

Logan Pierson earned his first Rutgers-Camden varsity letter with the indoor track program in the 2016-17 season and added a second indoor track letter during the 2019-20 campaign. He joined the outdoor track program during the 2021 campaign.
 
Pierson has been a part of one indoor track program-record relay team and has added academic honors at the university.
 
Program records (through 2020-21): Indoor Track – 4x160 Meters (1:19:30) at the Widener Field Meet, Jan. 27, 2017.
 
Academics: New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 scholastic years…Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2017 Spring, 2019 Fall, 2020 Spring, 2020 Fall and 2021 Spring semesters.
 
Outdoor Track 2021: Ran the 100-meter dash at three meets…At the Stockton Invitational #2, finished eighth of 11 at the 100-meter dash (12.71)…Finished 14th of 17 (12.75) in that event at the Osprey Twilight Meet (April 30)…Closed his season at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 9), finishing 18th of 23 in a PR of 12.49.

Indoor Track 2019-20: Competed in seven meets, setting a PR in three events…Competed in seven different events, including five times in the 60-meter dash…In the first meet of the winter, the Fastrack Season Opener on Dec. 6, finished 61st of 76 in the 60-meter dash (7.78) and 60th of 75 at 200 meters (25.34)…Competed in three events at the Wagner Seahawk Shootout (Dec. 13), including the 60-meter dash (35th of 45, 7.70), the 300-meter dash (50th of 59, 41.48) and with the sprint medley team (10th of 12 with a PR of 4:00.66)…Ran the 50-meter dash at the Dutchmen Invitational (Jan. 17), placing 24th of 27 with a PR of 7.65…At the Frank Colden Invitational on Feb. 8, finished first of 26 in the unseeded 60-meter dash (7.64) and was on the 4x200 team that placed 11th of 13 (1:43.82)…Finished 40th of 58 in the 60-meter dash (7.70) at the Susquehanna Invitational (Feb. 15)…At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 24), finished 21st of 27 at 60 meters (7.58), 10th of 10 with the 4x200 relay team (1:41.96) and ninth of 10 with the 4x400 team (a PR of 3:54.72)…Ran with the 4x200 team at the ECAC Championships (March 6), finishing fourth of six (1:37.70).
 
Indoor Track 2016-17: Competed in five indoor meets as a sprinter…Helped set a program record in the 4x160 relay (1:19.30), running the second leg and leading the Raptors to a first-place finish of three teams at the Widener Field Meet (Jan. 27)…Also finished fourth of eight in the 200-meter dash (25.80) and seventh of eight at 400 meters (1:00.13) at the Widener meet…Made his collegiate debut at the Bow-Tie Classic (Dec. 3), finishing 12th of 27 in the 60-meter dash (7.65) and 11th of 25 in the 200-meter dash (24.81)…At the Wagner Seahawk Shootout (Dec. 9), finished 28th of 45 at 60 meters (7.62) and 43rd of 64 at 300 meters (38.91)…Placed 44th of 80 in the 60-meter dash (7.62) and 49th of 95 at 200 meters (24.76) at the St. Joseph’s Invitational (Feb. 11), while also running the third leg on the 4x200 relay team (1:36.27), which placed eighth of 18…Set a pair of personal bests at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 20), placing 18th of 24 at 60 meters (7.54) and 18th of 23 at 200 meters (24.72).
 
High School: Captured four varsity letters in indoor and outdoor track at Sterling High School…Helped his team earn conference championships in 2013 and 2016 and post an undefeated (11-0) season…National qualifier and participant in the 4x100…Graduated in 2016.
 
Personal: Born October 23, 1997…Hobbies and interests include Misty gaming, track and school, playing games like Counter Strike and League of Legends…Business Management major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to pursue a career in law enforcement or with the FBI…Logan is the son of Linda Biernacki and Scott Pierson of Somerdale.
