Biography

Oluwamayowakun Ojutalayo had a stellar debut season in collegiate track during the 2024 spring campaign, establishing himself as a top-notch sprinter for the Scarlet Raptors during the indoor season. He continued his dominance with the outdoor track program during the 2024 spring season.
 
Academics: Dean’s List student and member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2024 Fall semester.

Outdoor Track 2024: Competed in six meets…Opened the season with a PR of 11.07 while finishing 10th of 96 athletes in the 100-meter dash at the Danny Curran Invitational (March 30)…Qualified for the 100-meter finals by placing seventh of 40 in the 100-meter dash (11.35) and then finished second of three in the finals (11.39) at the Ursinus College Track & Field Festival (April 6), while also finishing second of seven with the 4x100 team (44.16)…Finished 10th of 82 in the 200-meter dash (22.68) and third of 11 with the 4x100 relay team (44.06) at the TCNJ Invitational (April 13)…Tied his 100-meter PR of 11.07 (placing 10th of 78), set a 200-meter PR of 22.24 (15th of 101) and finished ninth of 18 in the 4x100 (44.23) at the Paul Donahue Invitational (April 20)…Helped set a PR of 43.13 in the 4x100 (finishing 12th of 21) at the Penn Relays (April 26)…At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 4) finished 10h of 28 at 100 meters (11.33) and 18th of 31 at 200 meters (23.34).
 
Indoor Track 2023-24: Played a role in 11 of the Scarlet Raptors’ 13 points at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 19), finishing sixth of 23 in the 200-meter dash (a PR of 22.39), qualifying for the 60-meter finals by placing seventh of 22 in the preliminaries (7.08) and finishing sixth of eight in the finals (a PR of 7.02) and running on the 4x200 team, which finished fourth of eight (a PR of 1:31.80)…Made his Raptor debut finishing 12th of 61 in the 200-meter dash (22.71) at the FastTrack Opener (Dec. 1)…Finished first of 39 in the unseeded 60-meter dash (7.05), first of 61 at 200 meters (22.94) and ninth of 14 with the 4x400 relay team (a PR of 3:46.58) at the Bow-Tie Invitational (Dec. 8)…At the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 20), finished 145h of 36 in the 60-meter dash (7.30), 68th of 68 in the 200-meter dash (45.53) and eighth of 14 with the 4x400 team (3:47.00)…Qualified for the 60-meter dash finals by placing fifth of 32 in the preliminaries (7.14) at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 3), then finished fifth of seven in the final (7.14) and was third of 13 with the 4x200 team (1:34.64).
 
High School: Graduated from Randolph-Macon Academy in 2023.
