Rutgers-Camden Athletics

A transfer from Camden County College, Paolo Barcelona competed on both the indoor and outdoor Rutgers-Camden track programs during the 2018-19 scholastic year.
   
Outdoor Track 2019: Competed in the shot put in two meets, setting his outdoor PR of 7.88 meters at the Stockton Invitational (March 23), finishing 25th of 26…Placed 27th of 29 at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 5) with a shot put of 7.85 meters.
 
Indoor Track 2018-19: Competed in three meets in various events, including the shot put, weight throw and 55-meter dash…Set his PR in both the shot put (8.35 meters, finishing 22nd of 22) and weight throw (6.68 meters, 16th of 16) at the Seahawk Shootout (Dec. 7)…Competed in both of those events and also set his PR of 8.56 in the 55-meter dash at the Albright Invitational (Feb. 9)…Competed in the weight throw (6.55, 25th of 25) at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 18).
 
Pre-Rutgers: Wrestled at Camden County College during the 2016-17 scholastic year…Helped team win the Garden State Athletic Conference, Region XIX and Eastern District II championships…Team finished No. 10 in the final NJCAA national rankings.
 
High School: Three-year varsity wrestling letterman at Timber Creek High School for Coach Dave Ritz…Named the team’s Most Courageous Athlete during the 2015-16 season…Aim High Nursing Scholarship winner…Graduated in 2016.
