Sean Kendall (4th Season)
Men's Head Crew Coach

College: Rutgers University-Camden (2007)
Major: Biological Science
Grad School: Rowan University (2009)
Degree: Masters (Science Education)

A former member of the Rutgers-Camden men’s club crew team, Sean Kendall joined the program’s coaching staff during the 2007 fall season and was named the head coach during the summer of 2011.

Kendall graduated from Haddon Township High School in 2003. Despite an athletic background, he had no previous rowing experience. Early in his freshman year at Rutgers-Camden, he saw a flyer advertising the newly-formed crew team and decided to look into it. He has been involved with rowing ever since.

Kendall rowed on the Rutgers-Camden men’s team for four years. Even as an undergraduate, he was attracted to the idea of coaching. During his junior and senior years, Sean served as a student-coach for the Rutgers Alumni crew team. Since the Rutgers-Camden men’s team practiced in the morning, during his senior year Kendall also spent his afternoons as a coach for his alma mater, Haddon Township High School.

In May 2007, Kendall graduated with a BA in Biological Sciences and joined the Rutgers-Camden coaching staff the following fall. He also continues as the head coach of the Rutgers Alumni team.

Sean received a master’s degree in education at Rowan University in May 2009.  He is teaching Biology at the Camden County Technical Schools in Gloucester Township.
