Biography

After a fine freshman season in 2016, Charlee Greco missed the entire 2017 campaign due to injuries. With her sophomore eligibility restored, she returns for the 2018 season.
 
Academically, she was named to Rutgers-Camden’s inaugural Athletic Director’s Honor Roll (Fall 2015) and repeated on that Honor Roll in the 2016 Spring and 2016 Fall semesters as well.
 
Despite missing last season on the softball diamond, she was named New Jersey Athletic Conference Academic Honorable Mention for the 2016-17 scholastic year.
 
Softball 2016: Started all 40 games for the Scarlet Raptors, including 16 starts at third base, 10 at first base, nine at catcher and five as the designated player…Hit .205 with 16 run and four doubles…Finished third on the team with her 18 RBIs and two home runs…Tied for second on the team with 120 putouts…Added 37 assists…Notched five multiple-hit games, including a single-game program record-tying 5-for-5 game against Spalding in a 20-1, five-inning victory (March 16)  in which she had one double, four runs and two RBIs…A 10-run first inning in that game included her double and two-run single…Her five hits tied the single-game program mark set by Sarah O’Malley (Game One vs. Gwynedd-Mercy College on March 16, 2003)..Her four runs scored were one shy of the program single-game mark…Ripped her first career home run with a solo shot to left field in the third inning against Arcadia University (April 21, Game Two)…Later in that contest, hit a game-tying three-run double with two outs in bottom of seventh inning as the Raptors rallied to post a 7-6 victory…Had four multiple-RBI games during the season, including four-RBI contests against both Arcadia in that nightcap of the April 21 doubleheader and against New Jersey City University (April 30, Game Two, when she went 2-for-2)…Had all four RBIs against NJCU in a 12-run second inning, hitting a two-run home run and a two-run single…Went 3-for-4 with one RBI against Rutgers-Newark (April 2, Game Two)…Had 10 putouts against both Roanoke College (March 6) and Montclair State University (April 16, Game One).
 
High School: Multi-sport letterwinner at Seneca High School, who graduated in 2015…Earned four varsity softball letters…Also earned three varsity cheerleading letters for football and two varsity letters for basketball cheerleading…Captured a Coaches Award for both softball and cheerleading…All-Olympic Conference softball player as a junior and a senior…Earned the Golden Eagle Award for softball…National French Honor Society…National Art Honor Society.
 
Personal: Born June 7, 1996…Nicknamed “Char”…Enjoys being outdoors, listening to country music and spending time with friends and family…Business Management major at Rutgers-Camden…Plans to get a nice job and save money to start her own sports facility….Hopes to one day coach collegiate softball…Charlee is the daughter of John and Donna Greco of Shamong.
