Biography

After a two-year softball career at Burlington County College/Rowan College at Burlington County, Gabby Pfeiffer joined the Rutgers University-Camden softball program last season. She ended up starting all 36 games for the Scarlet Raptors, one of only four players to do so, and led the club with 70 assists.
 
During her first semester on campus, Pfeiffer was named to the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll (Fall 2016). She added AD Honor Roll recognition again during the Fall 2017 semester.
 
Softball 2017: Started all 36 games, including 35 at third base and one at second base…Hit .218 and tied for third on the club with 12 runs scored…Tied for second on the team with two triples and finished second as a hit batsman, getting hit three times…Led the team with 70 assists, collected 35 putouts and tied for fourth in double plays with five…Had a .277 on-base percentage and a .264 slugging percentage…Finished third on the team with three sacrifices…Notched five multiple-hit games and two multiple-RBI games…Also made one appearance on the mound, working 1-1/3 innings in relief against Catholic University (March 30, Game Two), allowing four hits, three walks and four earned runs, while striking out one…Made her Rutgers-Camden debut against Fredonia (March 3), going 1-for-3 at the plate and collecting one putout and four assists defensively…The four assists marked her season high, which she also tied in the nightcap against The College of New Jersey (April 5)…Had a season-high four-game hitting streak (March 11-14), going 7-for-13 (.538)…That hitting streak included three consecutive two-hit games, beginning with a 2-for-2 performance with one RBI and three runs against Alfred State (Mar ch 11) and including 2-for-4 games against Johnson State (March 11, in her lone start at second base) and Gettysburg (March 14)…Had a 2-for-5 game with one run in a game against Wisconsin-Stout (March 13)…Hit safely in seven of eight games from March 11-17 (11-for-26, .423)…Went 3-for-4 with one run, a triple and two RBIs as the Scarlet Raptors beat Rutgers-Newark, 4-0, in eight innings (April 15, Game One).
 
Pre-Rutgers: Played two seasons with the Barons, including her sophomore year in 2016 in which she hit .339 (40-for-118) with 28 runs, 15 RBIs, two doubles, four triples and two home runs, while notching a team-high 75 assists and finishing second on the club with 62 putouts…Also appeared in nine games on the mound over 26-2/3 innings, posting a 1-1 record, a 2.63 ERA and 24 strikeouts, while walking nine…Captured First Team All-Garden State Athletic Conference Division II honors…Team captain and Most Valuable Player.
 
High School: Earned four softball letters at Rancocas Valley Regional High School for Coach Erin Mattio…All-Conference Second Team.
 
Personal: Born March 19, 1996…Gabrielle “Gabby” Pfeiffer…Loves animals and the outdoors…Criminal Justice major who hopes to get a job in the FBI or another government agency…Wants to try to go to the next Olympics…Gabrielle is the daughter of John and Arlene Pfeiffer of Mount Holly.
