Jayden Hunter blossomed into an All-New Jersey Athletic Conference player in 2023, earning NJAC Second Team honors while leading the Scarlet Raptors in numerous offensive categories. Over the course of her four-year collegiate career, Hunter appeared in 80 games, starting 72, while compiling a .277 batting average with 11 doubles and three home runs.
Honored as an NJAC Rookie of the Week during the brief pandemic-shortened 2020 season, Hunter also earned NJAC academic honors among her numerous accolades in the classroom.

Softball 2023: NJAC Second Team…Started all 34 Rutgers-Camden games, including 29 in right field, four at first base and one as the designated player…Led the Scarlet Raptors in hitting (.333), hits (35), doubles (8), home runs (3), total bases (54), RBIs (14), walks (15), at bats (105), plate appearances (123) and stolen bases (7-for-8), while tying for the team lead in triples (1)…Led all Raptor regulars in slugging (.514) and on-base percentage (.421)…Her 17-game hitting streak (March 14-April 11) tied for the second-longest streak in program history, only two games shy of the record…During her streak she hit .400 (22-for-55) with seven runs, four doubles, one home run, 11 RBIs, 10 walks, one HBP and one sacrifice, while going 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts and producing a .527 slugging percentage…Led the team with seven multiple-hit games and four multiple-RBI games…Had an RBI double in the ninth inning to break a 5-5 tie and spark a 7-5 win over Nichols (March 16)…Her two-run single in the fourth inning helped the Raptors defeat Catholic, 2-1, in the opener of a March 30 doubleheader…Had seven total bases against Stockton (April 25, Game Two, going 3-for-3 with a double, a home run, a walk, two runs and one RBI) to tie for the most single-game total bases by one player during the season…Went 1-for-2 with two walks and a three-run home run in the fifth inning of a 6-2 win over New Jersey City (April 1, Game One)…Had two hits in back-to-back games against Nichols (2-for-5, one run, one RBI, one double, March 16) and against Ohio Northern (2-for-4, one RBI, March 17)…Also had back-to-back two-hit games against Gwynedd Mercy (2-for-3 with a double, one run and two RBIs in the nightcap of a March 20 doubleheader) and in the opener of a March 30 twinbill against Catholic (2-for-4, two RBIs)…Hit her first collegiate home run against Benedictine (March 11), when she went 1-for-2 and produced her first two RBIs and scored her first run of the season…In the Raptors’ season opener against SUNY-New Paltz (Feb. 23), went 1-for-2 with a walk and stole two bases in two attempts…Had her high of eight putouts while playing first base against both Smith (March 12) and Rutgers-Newark (April 22, Game One)…Had a pair of outfield assists against The College of New Jersey (April 18, Game Two).
Softball 2022: Started 13 of her 21 games…Hit .200 with eight runs and two RBIs…Had a .267 slugging percentage and a .368 on-base percentage…Collected two doubles and two sacrifices…Tied for the team lead with five double plays…Second on the team with 72 putouts…Added three assists…Went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and one RBI in the second game of a doubleheader at William Paterson (April 9)…Went 2-for-4 with two runs, two walks and one RBI in a doubleheader at Montclair State (April 12), stretching her hitting streak to three games (3-for-7, .429)…Drew a walk in five straight games from April 9 (Game 2) through April 16 (Game 2)…Scored a run in four straight games, covering doubleheaders against Montclair State (April 12) and Ramapo (April 16)…Went 1-for-3 with a double, one run and one walk in the nightcap of a doubleheader at Rutgers-Newark (April 28), while also adding her season high in putouts (14).
Softball 2021: Started all 21 of her games, including 13 in right field, six in left field and two at third base…Hit .167 and tied for second on the team with eight runs scored…Had one double and two RBIs…Walked six times…Tied for the team lead with one sacrifice fly…Successful on two of her three stolen base attempts…Collected 18 putouts and three assists…Had a big doubleheader against New Jersey City (April 3), going 2-for-3 with two runs in the opener and 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBIs, one double, one sacrifice fly and one stolen base in the nightcap…Went 0-for-1 with two walks and one run against Stockton (April 20, Game Two)…Had a season high of four putouts against Ramapo College (April 6, Game One) and notched two assists against Kean University (March 23, Game Two).
Softball 2020: Hit .364 while starting all four Rutgers-Camden games in right field and compiling a four-game hitting streak…Led the team with four runs scored in the season cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic…Had a .364 slugging percentage and added one walk to post a .417 on-base percentage…Successful on both of her stolen base attempts…Collected two putouts…Made her collegiate debut in the season-opening doubleheader against SUNY-New Paltz (March 8), going 1-for-3 in both games and scoring one run in the opener…She had two putouts in the nightcap…One day later, that performance earned her honors as the NJAC Rookie of the Week (March 9)…In the Raptors’ other doubleheader, against Gwynedd Mercy (March 10), she went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs in the opener and 1-for-2 with one walk and one run in the nightcap.
High School: Earned four softball letters at Lenape High School for Coach Eric Krastek…All-Olympic Conference First Team…Honor Roll student…Graduated in 2019.
