A transfer from New Jersey Athletic Conference rival Ramapo College, Kendall Lafferty became the Scarlet Raptors’ starting catcher during her first year with the Rutgers-Camden softball program. She started 74 of her career 76 games during two seasons at Rutgers-Camden and finished 15th on the program’s career list with 305 putouts.

Lafferty compiled a .249 batting average with 52 hits, 15 RBIs and 19 runs scored as a Scarlet Raptor. She also stole eight bases in 10 attempts and collected 42 assists.

Softball 2025: Played in all 35 Rutgers-Camden games, starting 34…Hit .274 with a .296 on-base percentage and a .295 slugging percentage…Scored 11 runs and had six RBIs…Hit two doubles…Walked twice, was hit by a pitch once and added four sacrifices…Finished second on the team with 144 putouts…Added 18 assists and one double play…Named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week on March 31…Added Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week on March 31…Went 4-for-4 with two RBIs in the opening game of a doubleheader against New Jersey City (March 29) and 3-for-3 in the nightcap to compile a 7-for-7 performance in the twinbill, earning her NJAC and Rutgers-Camden honors on March 31…Had five other multi-hit games besides the contests in that doubleheader: went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI against Oneonta (Feb. 25, Game 2), went 2-for-3 in the opener of an Alvernia doubleheader (March 11), went 2-for-3 with a double and one run against Worcester State (March 18), went 2-for-4 with one run against Gwynedd Mercy (March 27, Game 1) and went 2-for-4 with one run against William Paterson (April 19, Game 2)…Had a three-game hitting streak (4-for-10, .400) from March 18-19, including a double and two runs scored…Collected her high of 11 putouts against both Wesleyan (March 15) and The College of New Jersey (April 9, Game 2)…Had two assists against both Kean (April 13, Game 1) and William Paterson (April 19, Game 1).

Softball 2024: Played in 41 of the Scarlet Raptors’ 42 games, starting 40 as the Raptors’ catcher…Hit .228 with two doubles, eight runs and nine RBIs…Had five walks for a .261 on-base percentage…Added three sacrifices and three stolen bases in as many attempts…Finished second on the team with 161 putouts…Added 24 assists…Threw out 11 potential base stealers…Had three multiple-RBI games, including two RBIs in both ends of a March 15 doubleheader against St. Norbert and Saint Joseph’s…Went 3-for-4 with one run, three putouts and one assist in her Raptor debut, the season opener against Carroll (March 9)…Tied for the second-longest hitting streak on the team, hitting in nine straight games (9-for-25, .360) from March 15-26…Went 2-for-3 with a double against New Jersey City (Game Two, March 30) and 2-for-2 with one run, one sacrifice and two RBIs against Neumann (Game Two, April 25)…Had season highs of 10 putouts against both Alvernia (Game One, March 19) and Kean (April 30 in the NJAC playoffs)…Notched her high of three assists against Wesleyan (March 12).

Pre-Rutgers: Played two seasons at Ramapo College, appearing in seven games, going 1-for-3 (,333) and compiling a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage (eight chances, six putouts, two assists)…Played in four games as a freshman in 2022, making her debut against Stevens (April 13) and going 1-for-1 for her first collegiate hit…Played both ends of a doubleheader against John Jay (April 27), handling seven total chances (five putouts, two assists) without an error, while going 0-for-1 at the plate…Appeared in three games in 2023, going 0-for-1 against John Jay on March 7, and notching one putout in one chance against Nebraska Wesleyan (March 11).
