Former All-South Jersey star Kennedy Whalen joins the Rutgers-Camden softball program this season, where she will help to anchor the Scarlet Raptors’ pitching staff.
 
High School: Earned four softball letters for Coach Tara Loiseau at Gateway Regional High School, graduating in 2016…First Team All-South Jersey and All-State Group 1 during her senior season, when she hit .647 with five home runs, 21 runs and 35 RBIs while also collecting 173 strikeouts in 99-2/3 innings on the mound, fashioning a 2.59 ERA…Earned All-South Jersey Times First Team honors as a freshman and a senior and was an All-Conference First Team player all four seasons…Served as the Gators’ team captain during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons…Gateway Academic Honors…Principal’s List as a junior and a senior…National Honor Society member.
