The Scarlet Raptors’ center fielder and leadoff hitter, Kimmy Musarra had the finest season of her career as a senior, leading the team in hitting (.385) and earning New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team honors. A stellar student as well, she captured her third NJAC Academic Honorable Mention recognition, along with several more academic honors from Rutgers-Camden.

During her four years at Rutgers-Camden, Musarra started all 86 of her games while compiling a .304 career average, 53 runs scored, 20 sacrifices and 25 stolen bases in 28 attempts. An outstanding contact hitter with great plate discipline, she also walked 41 times and only struck out 30 times over her career. In her four seasons, she never struck out more times than she walked, with her freshman season the only time those marks were even (16 walks, 16 strikeouts).

Softball 2022: New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team…Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week on May 2…Served as a team tri-captain…Started all 27 Rutgers-Camden games in center field…Led the team in batting average (.385), slugging (.410), on-base percentage (.478), at bats (78), runs (21), hits (30), total bases (32), walks (14) and stolen bases (11, in 13 attempts)…Had 53 putouts, one assist and one error for a .982 fielding percentage…Collected two doubles, four sacrifices and six RBIs…Only struck out seven times in 78 at bats…Led the team with 10 multiple-hit games, including three hits apiece against New Jersey City (April 2) in both ends of a doubleheader, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI in the opener and 3-for-4 with four runs in the nightcap…The NJCU doubleheader capped a four-game hitting streak that started March 18 and saw her hitting .600 (9-for-15) with one double, one sacrifice, two RBIs, five runs and three stolen bases…Went 2-for-4 with three runs, three stolen bases, one sacrifice and one RBI in the nightcap of a doubleheader at Rutgers-Newark (April 28)…That Newark game started a three-game hitting streak (5-for-11, .455, four runs, three steals, one sacrifice and one RBI) to end her season and her career…Had her season high of six putouts and added her lone assist in her final career game against Kean (April 30, Game 2)…Also had five putouts against both William Paterson (April 9, Game 2) and The College of New Jersey (April 24, Game 1).

Softball 2021: New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team…Started all 23 Rutgers-Camden games in center field, while serving as the Raptors’ leadoff hitter in 22 games…Hit .286 with two RBIs and a team-leading 10 runs scored…Had seven walks and only six strikeouts, while posting a .357 on-base percentage…Her team-leading 10 sacrifices were the third-highest single-season total in program history…Went 4-for-4 on stolen base attempts, tying for the most steals on the team while owning the best percentage with four steals…Had 24 putouts and only one error while using her speed to cover vast distances in center field…Tied for the team lead with five multiple-hit games, including a 3-for-4 contest with one run in a 6-3 win over Montclair State (April 10, Game One)…Reached base in 10 straight games (March 23-April 13) for the longest streak on the team…Had a four-game hitting streak from April 20-24 (6-for-11, .545 with three runs, one RBI, one walk and two stolen bases)…Went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI against New Jersey City (April 3, Game Two)…Went 2-for-3 in the nightcap of an April 10 doubleheader against Montclair State, following her three-hit game in the opener…Went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run and one RBI against Stockton (April 20, Game Two)…Went 2-for-3 in the nightcap of a doubleheader against William Paterson (April 24)…Had two putouts in six games.

Softball 2020:   Started all four games Rutgers-Camden played during the shortened 2020 season…Led the team with a .500 batting average (4-for-8), four walks, a .667 on-base percentage, three sacrifices and three stolen bases in three attempts…Scored two runs…In her lone outfield chance in left field, she fielded a single and threw out a runner at home plate to notch a game-ending assist, preserving a 2-0 shutout for Sarah Byrnes against SUNY-New Paltz (March 8, Game 1)…Offensively in that game, went 0-for-1 with one walk, one stolen base and one sacrifice…In the nightcap of that doubleheader, went 2-for-3 and added another sacrifice…In a doubleheader against Gwynedd Mercy (March 10), went 0-for-2 and drew two walks in the first game…In the second game, went 2-for-2 with one walk, two stolen bases, one sacrifice and two runs…Tied for the club lead with two multiple-hit games.

Softball 2019: Started all 32 Rutgers-Camden games, including 30 in left field and two in center field…Hit .218…Led the team in runs scored (20) and walks (16)…Tied for the team lead with seven stolen bases (in eight attempts)…Compiled a .371 on-base percentage…Reached base three times as a hit batsman…Collected two RBIs and three sacrifices…Had 44 putouts and five errors for an .898 fielding percentage…Had two multiple-hit games, including a big 4-for-5 contest against William Paterson (April 19, Game Two) in which she added two stolen bases, two runs and one RBI…Also went 2-for-2 with one RBI in the nightcap of a doubleheader with Ramapo (April 2)…Had a trio of two-game hitting streaks, including a 3-for-5 streak over two games April 2-4…Went 2-for-3 with one run against Farmingdale State (March 17) for her first two collegiate hits…Went 0-for-1 with two walks, two runs and one stolen base against Wesleyan (March 20)…Drew two walks and went 1-for-1 against Kean (April 13, Game One)…Also had two-walk games against Rowan (April 25, Game One) and Rutgers-Newark (April 28, Game Two)…Had her season high of three putouts on seven occasions, including both ends of a doubleheader against Montclair State (April 6).
