Biography

Lindsey Rodzon captured her third Rutgers-Camden softball letter during the 2024 spring semester, adding to the three letters she has earned with the women’s soccer program. Rodzon, who has earned All-New Jersey Athletic Conference honors in softball and All-Tournament soccer honors, also has captured numerous academic accolades.
 
One of the top pitchers in Rutgers-Camden history, Rodzon ranks fourth in career pitching appearances (77), fifth in innings (351-1/3), fifth in at bats (1,505), fifth in batters faced (1,710), tied for fifth in games started (55), tied for ninth in wins (18) and tied for 10th in complete games (28).
 
Rodzon also has appeared in 48 games with the soccer program.

Softball 2024: Appeared in 24 games, making 18 starts…Posted six complete games…Pitched 101-1/3 innings, compiling a 3-13 record and a 4.77 ERA…Had seven putouts and finished fourth on the team with 42 assists…Led the team with a .980 fielding percentage (one error in 50 total chances)…Scored one run and went 2-for-2 on stolen base attempts as a pinch runner…Earned her first win hurling three innings in a six-inning 8-0 win over Albright (March 21), allowing three walks, no hits and collecting one strikeout…Posted a 3-2 win over Gwynedd Mercy (March 26), working five innings and allowing seven hits, three walks and two earned runs, while striking out her season high of four batters…Earned her third win with an 8-1 victory over Rutgers-Newark (April 27), hurling a complete game and allowing nine hits and one unearned run, while walking one and striking out one…Suffered a tough 4-0 loss against Neumann (April 25) despite not allowing any earned runs in her six-inning stint…Hurled a complete game four-hitter in a 4-0 loss against SUNY-New Paltz (March 22), allowing only one earned run…Lost a 3-2 game against Washington College (March 10), pitching seven innings of six-hit ball, allowing two walks and three earned runs…Stole wo bases against Montclair State (Game Two, April 6)…Scored a run against Rutgers-Newark (Game Two, April 27).
 
Soccer 2023: Played in all 18 Rutgers-Camden games, starting nine…Collected her first career goal, coming in a 3-0 win over King’s College (Sept. 2)…Took 14 shots, including nine on goal for a .643 percentage…Made her first start of the season at Hartwick (Sept. 9) and added another start at SUNY-Oneonta (Sept. 10), taking two shots on goal in both games on her way to earning honors on the Mayor’s Cup All-Tournament Team…Contributed to all seven of the Scarlet Raptors’ shutouts.
 
Softball 2023: NJAC Second Team…Appeared in 30 of the Raptors’ 34 games, making 22 starts…Worked 157.2 innings and posted a 10-14 record, despite a stellar 2.49 ERA, as 35 runs scored against her were unearned…Allowed 173 hits and 46 walks, while striking out 91…Ranked among the program’s single-season records for pitching appearances (30, eighth), innings (157.2, 10th), starts (22, 11th) and complete games (15, tied for 19th)… Led all NJAC pitchers in conference-only innings (84.2, which was 19 more innings than the second-highest total)…Named NJAC Pitcher of the Week (April 3) after going 3-0 with a 0.42 ERA in four appearances the previous week, while making two starts, hurling two complete games, working 16.2 innings and allowing nine hits, four walks and three runs (one earned), while fanning 10…During that week, she won both games against New Jersey City University (April 1), 6-2 with a five-hitter and only one earned run in the opener and 10-2 in the nightcap with 1.1 innings of no-hit relief in the second game…Named Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week (March 13)…Won her first game of the season against Clarkson on March 12, recording her first career shutout with a seven-hitter, no walks and four strikeouts in a 4-0 victory…Pitched eight innings against both Gwynedd Mercy (March 20, Game One, in a 3-2 loss in which all three runs were unearned) and William Paterson (April 7, Game One, in a 4-3 win)…Hurled seven innings and picked up the win in a 7-5, nine-inning Raptor victory over Nichols (March 16), allowing only five hits, three walks and two runs (one earned), while striking out six…Beat Catholic (March 30, Game One), with a four-hitter in a 2-1 win, with the lone run she allowed being unearned…Allowed just one earned run in a 5-2, six-hit win over Montclair State (April 11, Game One) and came back with 4.2 relief innings in the nightcap (two hits, no runs) for a 6-3 win…Tossed a three-hitter, walking one and striking out three, in a 4-1 win over Rutgers-Newark (April 22, Game One)…Defeated Stockton, 4-3, in the nightcap of an April 25 doubleheader, allowing seven hits, three earned runs and no walks, while fanning five…Out of her 14 losses, six came when she allowed two or fewer earned runs (four with one or no earned runs) and two others came when allowing three earned runs…Collected a season-high six strikeouts on three occasions…Defensively, her 46 assists were the fourth-highest total on the team…Offensively, went 1-for-3 (.333), with her first career hit being a two-run double in the fifth inning, coming in the nightcap of a doubleheader against New Jersey City (April 1).
 
Soccer 2022: Appeared in 16 games, starting three…Took eight shots, two on goal…Contributed to all four Scarlet Raptor shutouts, including three in the regular season against Albright (1-0, Sept. 17), Ramapo (3-0, Sept. 28) and Kean (0-0, Oct. 8)…Also helped the Raptors post a 0-0 double-overtime shutout against powerful Montclair State in the New Jersey Athletic Conference semifinals (Nov. 2) before the Red Hawks advanced to the finals on penalty kicks…Had shots on goal in the Albright and Ramapo games…Took a season-high two shots against Kean.
 
Softball 2022: Appeared in 23 games, starting 15 on the mound…Led the staff in appearances and starts, as well as innings (92-1/3), ERA (4.85), complete games (seven), strikeouts (33), at bats (399) and wins (five)…Posted a 5-10 record…Walked 54 and hit seven…Allowed 133 hits and 80 runs (64 earned)…Threw a scoreless inning in her collegiate soccer debut in the first game of the season-opening doubleheader against SUNY-New Paltz (March 4), walking one and striking out one…Also had a scoreless inning in the nightcap, striking out one…Made her first start against FDU-Florham (March 14) and hurled six innings of five-hit ball, allowing only one run in a tough 1-0 loss…Earned her first win with a complete game eight-hitter against Southern Maine (March 17), allowing eight hits, one earned run and one walk, while fanning four in a 2-1 victory…Allowed only one earned run in five innings of relief in the Raptors’ 6-1 loss against Farmingdale State (March 18)…Lost a 2-1 decision against Cortland (March 18) despite working five innings and allowing only one unearned run…Earned her second victory with six innings of three-hit ball against William Paterson (April 9, Game Two), allowing three hits and one unearned run, while striking out five in an 11-1 win…Hurled a complete game 4-1 victory over Montclair State (April 12, Game Two), scattering 10 hits and four walks, striking out three and allowing one earned run…Beat Stockton in the second game of a doubleheader (April 26) with four innings of six-hit relief pitching, allowing only one earned run in the Raptors’ 7-5 victory…Worked eight full innings in a 9-8 victory at Rutgers-Newark (April 28, Game Two), allowing 10 hits and eight runs (seven earned)....Defensively, had one putout and four assists against both Cortland (March 18) and Ramapo (April 16, Game Two).
 
Soccer 2021: Appeared in 14 games, starting one…Took six shots, three on goal…Made her collegiate debut playing 27 minutes in a season-opening 1-0 win over Elizabethtown College (Sept. 2)…Took her first shot in a 1-0 loss against North Carolina Wesleyan (Sept. 12) and had her first shot on goal during a 1-0 win at Goucher College (Oct. 6)…Took three shots, two on goal, during a 2-1 win at Ramapo College (Oct. 9)…Made her first collegiate start and played her high of 67 minutes in a 3-1 loss at Stockton University (Sept. 29)…Played in all five Rutgers-Camden shutouts during the season.
