Luci Hutchinson has anchored the hot corner in all 103 games the Scarlet Raptors have played over her three-year career, compiling 74 hits and a .250 batting average. During the 2024 season she raised her career total to 203 assists, ranking seventh on the program’s all-time list.
A Health Sciences major, Hutchinson also has added numerous academic honors.

Softball 2024: Started all 42 Rutgers-Camden games at third base…Hit .244 and led the team with 16 RBIs and 131 at bats…Tied for the club lead with one triple…Finished second on the team with four doubles and three double plays…Tied for second on the Raptors with 32 hits and 10 walks…Third on the team with 83 assists…Had a .290 slugging percentage and a .303 on-base percentage…Scored 12 runs…Added one sacrifice and one stolen base…Notched 29 putouts… Led the team with 10 two-out RBIs…Tied for the team lead with four multiple-RBI games, including a big doubleheader against Albright (March 21) in which she went 2-for-4 with three RBIs in both games…Tied for second on the team with eight multiple-hit games, including 3-for-4 games against Wisconsin Lutheran (March 14) and Saint Joseph’s (March 15, when she hit her first career triple)…Had a five-game hitting streak from April 13-18 (7-for-17, .412)…In addition to the Albright doubleheader, had two hits apiece in both games against Kean (April 13), going 4-for-7 with one run and two RBIs on the day…Opened the season going 1-for-4 with a walk and two RBIs in a 9-7, eight-inning win over Carroll (March 9)…Played in her 100th career game against Rutgers-Newark (Game One, April 27)…Had her high of three putouts against both the Wentworth Institute of Technology (March 9) and Albright (Game One, March 21)…Collected five assists on three occasions.
Softball 2023: Started all 34 Rutgers-Camden games at third base…Led the team in runs (13) and assists (70)…Tied for the team lead with one sacrifice fly…Finished second on the Raptors with 12 walks and five doubles…Tied for second on the team with 30 total bases…Third on the Raptors with seven RBIs…Had 26 putouts…The Raptors’ single-game season-high in assists was six, accomplished three times, including twice by Hutchinson against Nichols (March 16) and Stockton (April 26, Game One)…Tied for second on the team with six multiple-hit games…Had a pair of four-game hitting streaks from April 1-4 (5-for-12, .417) and April 18-22 (5-for-14, .357)…Went 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI against Clarkson (March 12) as the Scarlet Raptors posted their first win of the season…Went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles against Wisconsin-Stout (March 14)…Went 2-for-2 with one RBI and her season highs of three runs scored and two walks in the nightcap of a doubleheader against New Jersey City (April 1)…Had a pair of two-hit games in a doubleheader sweep over Montclair State (April 11), going 2-for-3 with one run in the opener and 2-for-2 with a double, one RBI and two runs in the nightcap…Went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI in the opener of a doubleheader against Rutgers-Newark (April 22)…Had a pair of six-assist games, coming against Nichols (March 16) and Stockton (April 25, Game One).
Softball 2022: Started all 27 games, while hitting .250, third on the team…Finished second on the team with 20 total bases, 17 hits, seven sacrifices and 50 assists…Third on the team with 10 walks, a .295 slugging percentage and a .354 on-base percentage…Had five RBIs and scored seven runs…Successful on three of her four stolen base attempts…Had 24 putouts and turned two double plays…Had the second-longest hitting streak on the team with a six-game streak (8-for-15, .533, five runs) from April 5-16)…Had two hits in back-to-back games against Montclair State (April 12, Game 2, going 2-for-4 with one run) and Ramapo (April 16, Game 1, going 2-for-3 with one run)…Also went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and one stolen base against Rutgers-Newark (April 28, Game 2)…Had her first two collegiate hits in both ends of a season-opening doubleheader against SUNY-New Paltz (March 4), including a double and an RBI in the nightcap…Had a season-high four putouts in the opener of an April 12 doubleheader against Montclair State…Notched five assists against both Southern Maine (March 17) and Rutgers-Newark (April 28, Game 2).
