A transfer from Centenary University, Madi Carr made her Rutgers-Camden softball debut during the 2025 season, anchoring second base while compiling a .309 batting average. Her team-leading 14 sacrifices were the second-highest single-season total in program history and left her tied for 14th on the program’s
career chart.
A junior academically, she will have sophomore athletic eligibility during the 2026 season.
Academics: Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and a Dean’s List student for the 2024 Fall and 2025 Spring semesters…One of only 23 athletes on the 167-member 2024 Fall AD Honor Roll to earn a 4.0 GPA…One of 41 athletes on the 180-member 2025 Spring AD Honor Roll to post a 4.0 GPA.
Softball 2025: Appeared in 33 of the Scarlet Raptors’ 35 games, starting all 33…Led the team with 14 sacrifices and 63 assists…Finished fourth on the team with a .309 batting average and 72 putouts…Struck out only four times in 94 at bats, the lowest total among all Raptor starters…Was successful on all three stolen base attempts…Had eight runs scored, eight RBIs, four doubles and one triple…Posted a .372 slugging percentage and a .337 on-base percentage…Had her first collegiate hits, a single and a triple, while going 2-for-3 against Oneonta (Feb. 25, Game 2)…Overall, collected eight multi-hit games, including 3-for-4 against Worcester State (March 18) and 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs against Rutgers-Newark (April 27, Game 2)…Had a five-game hitting streak from March 29-April 5, going 7-for-11 (.636)…Hit safely in five of her last six games from April 19-27, going 8-for-21 (.381)…Had a pair of sacrifices on two occasions, coming against Gwynedd Mercy (March 27, Game 1) and Montclair State (April 5, Game 1)…Had a high of five assists against Scranton (March 18)…Collected five putouts on five occasions.
Pre-Rutgers: Attended Centenary University during the 2023-24 scholastic year but was sidelined from playing softball by injuries.
High School: Earned three varsity softball letters at Lenape Regional High School for Coach Eric Krastek…First Team All-Olympic Conference as a third baseman during her junior season…Burlington County Carpenter Cup player as a junior…Top 10 percent of her class…Principal’s List and Student of the Month…4.0 GPA…Graduated in 2023.
