Megan Goodspeed returns for her final collegiate softball season this spring. A transfer who was an all-region player during her two seasons at Burlington County College, Goodspeed started 35 of her 38 games during her first year at Rutgers-Camden in 2016.

A campus leader as well, Goodspeed is in her second year as a member of Rutgers-Camden’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Softball 2016: Appeared in 38 games, starting 35…Started 28 games in right field and seven in left field…Hit .129 with 13 runs, six RBIs, seven walks and two HBP…Had a .239 on-base percentage and was 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts…Compiled 29 putouts and three assists…Made Rutgers-Camden debut against Shenandoah University (March 5), going 1-for-2 with one HBP and one stolen base, while adding three putouts…Also had three putouts against Spalding (March 16), while going 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI…Had her biggest day in a doubleheader at Penn State-Abington (March 24), going 1-for-3 with one run in the opener and 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs in the nightcap.
Pre-Rutgers: Played two seasons of softball at Burlington County College…Earned All-Region Second Team honors as a freshman and All-Region First Team recognition as a sophomore.
High School: Softball and soccer letterwinner at Florence Township Memorial High School, graduating in 2013…Captured All-Conference Second Team softball honors as a junior and earned All-Conference First Team as a senior.
Personal: Born August 10, 1995…Member of the Rutgers-Camden Student-Athlete Advisory Committee…Hobbies and interests include sports, volunteering, coaching and traveling…Business Management major at Rutgers-Camden…Following graduation, plans to get a full-time job and “quickly move my way up in a company to ultimately be the top manager.”…She also plans to travel to as many states and countries as possible…Megan is the daughter of Melanie and Patrick Goodspeed.
