Rachel Edwards has compiled a .270 career batting average (57-for-211) over her 99 games at Rutgers-Camden. She has started 95 career games, including all 67 from the 2018-2020 seasons. Edwards ranks seventh on the program’s career list with 197 assists and is tied for fourth with 12 double plays. She also is tied for fifth on the Raptors’ career list with four sacrifice flies and ranks eighth by reaching 11 times as a hit batsman. Coupled with 21 walks, Edwards owns a .360 on-base percentage over her Raptor career.

Softball 2020: Started all four Raptor games at third base during the 2020 season, which was shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic…Hit .417 (fourth on the team) with a team-leading .583 slugging percentage…Tied for the team lead with two doubles and one sacrifice fly…Had a 1.000 fielding percentage (five putouts, six assists in 11 total chances)…Scored one run, had one RBI, one sacrifice fly and one stolen base in her only attempt…Hit safely in all four games…Opened the season with a doubleheader against SUNY-New Paltz (March 8), going 1-for-2 with one double, one sacrifice fly and one RBI in the opening game and 2-for-3 in the nightcap…Had two putouts and two assists in the first game and added three assists in the second game…In a doubleheader against Gwynedd Mercy (March 10), went 1-for-3 with two putouts and one assist in the opener and 1-for-4 with a double, one run, one stolen base and one putout in the nightcap.

Softball 2019: Started all 32 Rutgers-Camden games at third base, one of only three Scarlet Raptors to start every game…Hit .256 with eight RBIs and was tied for third on the club with 10 runs scored…Led the team by reaching base six times as a hit batsman…Also drew seven walks, had one sacrifice fly and notched four sacrifices…Compiled a .354 on-base percentage…Had a team-leading 62 assists, while adding 36 putouts and one double play…Finished second on the team with seven multiple-hit games, including a 3-for-3 game with one sacrifice and one RBI in the opener of an April 6 doubleheader against Montclair State…Went 2-for-3 with a sacrifice and two RBIs in the nightcap of a doubleheader against Catholic University (April 17)…Had a three-game hitting streak (5-for-10, .500) April 16-17, including two-hit games against Stockton (April 16, Game Two) and Catholic (April 17, Game Two)…Also had 2-for-3 games against Tufts (March 17) and Geneva (March 18), adding one run and one RBI in each game, and in the second game of doubleheaders against Ramapo (April 2) and Moravian (April 15)…Was hit by a pitch two times in the opener of an April 19 twinbill at William Paterson…Had a season high of seven total chances (two putouts, five assists) against Farmingdale State (March 17).
