Biography

Over the course of her four-year Rutgers-Camden career, Rachel White appeared in 54 games, starting 36. She made 20 starts as the Scarlet Raptors’ pitcher, while appearing in 37 games in the circle. During her career she handled 33 defensive chances cleanly to compile a 1.000 fielding percentage, while also collecting a pair of pitching wins.
 
Academically, White has been a Dean’s List student, a member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and posted a perfect 4.0 GPA during the 2020 spring semester.
 
Academics: Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2020 Spring, 2021 Spring and 2021 Fall semesters…Dean’s List student…One of 47 athletes on the 171-member 2020 Spring AD Honor Roll to post a 4.0 GPA.
 
Softball 2023: Appeared in 27 games, starting 21, including 12 of her 19 games as a pitcher…Also served as the team’s designated player…Hurled 65-1/3 innings, posting a 0-10 record and a 6.11 ERA…Walked 51, struck out 47, hit 16 batters and allowed 105 hits…Had four complete games…Offensively, hit .188 (6-for-32) with one double, two walks, three sacrifices, two runs and two RBIs…Posted a 1.000 fielding percentage with five putouts and 16 assists in 21 chances…Suffered a 7-3 loss against William Paterson (April 7, Game 2) in which the Raptors made four errors to lead to all seven runs being unearned…Hurled a four-hitter against Stockton (April 25, Game 1) in a tough 2-0 loss, allowing only one earned run…Hurled 1.2 innings of one-hit shutout ball in relief during a game against Kalamazoo (March 16)…Also pitched two innings of shutout relief ball against Rowan (April 4, Game One), while striking out three…Had her season high of six strikeouts in 3.1 innings (four hits, three runs, two earned runs and two walks) in a 3-1 loss against Wisconsin-Stout (March 14)…Struck out five in 3.2 innings of the Raptors’ eventual 10-2 win over New Jersey City (April 1, Game Two)…Had a season high of three assists against Ohio Northern (March 17)…Went 1-for-3 in the opener of a March 30 doubleheader against Catholic…Went 1-for-1 with a sacrifice and an RBI against New Jersey City (April 1, Game Two)…Had her best day at the plate in the second game of an April 22 doubleheader against Rutgers-Newark, going 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI as the Raptors’ designated player…Went 1-for-4 with one RBI against Stockton (April 25, Game Two)
 
Softball 2022: Appeared in 17 games, making 13 starts, including seven on the mound…Also served as the Raptors’ designated player…Worked a career-high 31.2 innings, posting a 1-6 record with two complete games…Had an 8.62 ERA…Offensively, hit .147, collecting her first five collegiate hits and adding one walk, one sacrifice, one run and five RBIs…Hit .147…Continued her perfect fielding percentage, notching one putout and three assists in four chances for the third consecutive year…Started both of the Raptors’ first two games on the mound during a doubleheader against SUNY-New Paltz (March 4), working a total of five innings and suffering the loss in both games…Earned her win in a 2-1 victory over Wheaton (March 13), tossing a one-hitter with three walks and three strikeouts, while adding one putout and two assists…Her complete-game effort earned her honors on March 14 as Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week…Hurled three shutout innings in relief against Stockton (April 26, Game 1), allowing three hits and one walk, while fanning one…Had a complete game in a 7-3 loss against Kean (April 30, Game 2), despite only allowing two earned runs…She surrendered seven hits and four walks, while fanning her season high of five batters in that game…Had an RBI single in the seventh inning of the season opener against SUNY-New Paltz (March 4) for her first collegiate hit…Went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI against Southern Maine (March 17)…Went 1-for-3 with her first collegiate double and two RBIs in the season-ending game against Kean (April 30, Game 2).
 
Softball 2021: Played in eight games, including six on the mound…Started one game…Posted a 0-2 record and an 8.25 ERA in 9.1 innings…Walked 13, struck out five and hit one batter…Allowed 18 hits…Also started one game as the team’s designated player and served as a pinch-hitter in another game…Hit .000 (0-for-7)…Posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with one putout and three assists…Two of the assists, along with the lone putout, came against The College of New Jersey (April 13, Game Two)…In that TCNJ game, she hurled 3.1 scoreless innings in relief, walking three, allowing three hits and adding one strikeout…Took the loss against Kean (March 23, Game Two) with a two-inning start, allowing four this, seven walks and six runs (five earned), while adding one strikeout…Also lost a 1-0 decision in relief against William Paterson, allowing the one run in one inning, while surrendering two hits and one walk and striking out one.
 
Softball 2020: Appeared in two games in relief, going 1-1 with a 9.33 ERA, seven walks and six strikeouts in six innings…Allowed nine hits…At the plate, went o-for-4 with one RBI…Compiled a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with one putout and three assists in four chances…Made her debut in the nightcap of the season-opening doubleheader against SUNY-New Paltz, being tagged with the loss while allowing one hit, four walks and four earned runs in one inning…Picked up her first win by working five innings during an 11-5 victory over Gwynedd Mercy (March 10, Game Two), allowing eight hits, four runs and three walks, while collecting her first six collegiate strikeouts…Also had her four fielding chances (one putout, three assists) and collected her first RBI on a ground out,
 
High School: Earned four varsity softball letters at Woodbury High School…All-Conference First Team as a junior and a senior…Graduated in 2019.
