Sammie Friel captured numerous honors during her first collegiate season with the Rutgers-Camden softball program, which she capped by earning New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year and NJAC Second Team honors. The southpaw pitcher also earned a pair of academic honors during her freshman year.
