Biography

A transfer from Division I Rutgers-New Brunswick, Zoe Rodriguez played two seasons with Rutgers-Camden, where she stepped into the role as the Scarlet Raptors’ starting catcher in 2023. Rodriguez started all 34 Raptor games during her senior season and completed her two-year Rutgers-Camden career appearing in 58 games, starting 47. Her 242 career putouts rank 17th on the all-time program list.
 
Softball 2023: Started all 34 Rutgers-Camden games, beginning the year at first base and inheriting the catching duties on March 12…Finished the season starting 29 games at catcher and placing second on the team with 154 putouts…Hit .190 with six runs, three doubles, one home run and three walks…Her 10 RBIs were the second-highest total on the team…Also finished second on the team with three multiple-RBI games…Had a four-game hitting streak (April 18-25), going 4-for-13 (.308) with one RBI and two runs scored…Collected two RBIs in games against New Jersey City (April 1, Game Two), Montclair State (April 11, Game One) and Ramapo (April 16, Game One, when she hit her first career Rutgers-Camden home run)…Had two-hit games against Wentworth (March 11), Nichols (March 16) and Rowan (April 4, Game One)…Collected six or more putouts on 13 occasions, with a high of nine against Kalamazoo (March 16)…Was hit by a pitch twice during the season, with both coming in the opener of the New Jersey City doubleheader (April 1)..Was successful on her lone stolen base attempt, coming in the opener of the Gwynedd Mercy twinbill (March 20).
 
Softball 2022: Started 13 of her 24 games, including 12 at first base and one as the designated player…Finished second on the team in batting average (.326), slugging (.370) and on-base percentage (.429)…Tied for the team lead with one sacrifice fly…Collected five RBIs, scored three runs and had two doubles…Walked eight times and was hit by a pitch once…Was successful on her lone stolen base attempt…Had a team-leading 88 putouts and added three assists and three double plays, while compiling a .989 fielding percentage…Had a pinch-hit RBI double in the season opener against SUNY-New Paltz (March 4) for her first Scarlet Raptor hit…Made her first Scarlet Raptor start against Carroll (March 13), collecting her season high of 10 putouts at first base…Went 2-for-3 with one walk and one run scored against St. Norbert (March 14), while adding nine putouts…Had a seven-game hitting streak, the longest on the team during the season, from March 13 through the opener of an April 2 doubleheader, going 8-for-20 (.400) with two runs, two RBIs, two walks, one HBP and one sacrifice fly during that span.
