Adriana Mercado earned her first collegiate soccer letter during the 2019 season, while adding academic honors in the classroom.
Academics: Member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and a Dean’s List student for the 2019 Fall and 2020 Spring semesters.
Soccer 2019: Appeared in 12 games, starting one…Took four shots…Made her collegiate debut playing 12 minutes in the season opener against Elizabethtown (Aug. 30)…Took two shots in her 46 minutes of playing time against Shenandoah (Sept. 8)…Made her first collegiate start and played 31 minutes in a 1-0 loss at Moravian (Sept. 14)…Took two shots in her 37 minutes of playing time at New Jersey City (Oct. 5)…Played her season high of 50 minutes in a 2-0 loss at Ursinus (Oct. 23).
High School: Captured four varsity soccer letters at Winslow Township High School for Coach Bruce Stowell…Also added two varsity lacrosse letters…Served as a soccer team captain during both her junior and senior years…All-Olympic Conference Second Team…Girls Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year…Selected during her senior year to participate in a camp for the Puerto Rico Women’s National Team…Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honor Society)…Spanish Honor Society…Rachel Challenge…Graduated in 2019.

Personal: Born July 6, 2001…Nicknamed “Dri”…When she’s not playing soccer she enjoys hunting and playing lacrosse…Nursing major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to work in the nursing field for a year before getting her Master’s as a nurse practitioner…Adriana is the daughter of Lisa Soto and Emilio Mercado of Sicklerville.
