A fast and versatile player, Amber Cobb had a fine sophomore season for the Rutgers-Camden women’s soccer team while establishing herself as a starter and key contributor with the Scarlet Raptors.

In two collegiate seasons, Cobb has appeared in 33 of the Scarlet Raptors’ 34 games, starting 20. She owns three goals, including one game winner, and one assist for seven career points.
Cobb also was named to the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2016 spring semester.
Soccer 2015: Played in all 16 games, starting 12…Finished third on the team in scoring with five points, notching two goals and one assist…Took 10 shots, five on goal…Collected her first game-winning goal with 6:14 remaining in regulation to beat Rutgers-Newark, 2-1, on Oct. 24…That goal came in the middle contest of a late-season three-game scoring streak in which she scored her first goal of the season during a 5-0 win over New Jersey City University (Oct. 20) and assisted on Tori Gerstenacker’s game-winning goal in a 2-0 victory over the College of Staten Island (Oct. 26)…Played 31 minutes off the bench in the season opener aganst Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Sept. 3) and made her first start of the season the next day in a 4-1 win over Cabrini College…Played the entire 90 minutes against both Mount Saint Vincent (a 2-0 win Sept. 16) and Montclair State (a 5-0 loss Oct. 17)…Started all four of the Scarlet Raptors’ shutouts.
Soccer 2014: Appeared in 17 games, starting eight…Scored one goal for two points…Took nine shots, seven of them on goal for a .778 percentage, the best on the team for all players with over one shot…Made her collegiate debut against Oswego State in the Raptors’ second game at the Rutland Herald Invitational (Aug. 31)…Made her first start in a 1-0 victory at Cabrini College (Sept. 24), the first of her eight consecutive starts…Her first career goal was an insurance tally in a 2-0 win at the College of Staten Island (Oct. 22)…Took her season high of three shots in that contest, all on goal…Played in all seven of the Scarlet Raptors’ shutouts, starting four…Notched a season-high 58 minutes in a 1-0 win over Ramapo College (Oct. 11).
High School: Captured eight varsity letters at Cedar Creek High School in soccer, track and as a team manager…Earned three letters in soccer, one in indoor track and field, and two apiece as the manager for the baseball and wrestling teams…Second Team All-CAL performer as a sophomore and a senior.
Personal: Born July 30, 1996…Enjoys spending time with family and close friends, being active and vacations…Played club soccer for Atlantic United…Nursing major at Rutgers-Camden with a Psychology minor…Plans to attend grad school for pediatric oncology nursing and travel the world…Amber is the daughter of Faith McGinley of Egg Harbor City.
