Rutgers-Camden Athletics

A transfer student who has played soccer at both Wesley College and Camden County College, Cassidy McSorley joins the Rutgers-Camden women’s program this season. A senior academically, she has junior athletic eligibility.
 
Pre-Rutgers: Made a stellar collegiate debut in 2014, leading Wesley College with seven goals (two game winners), while adding three assists for a team-high 17 points…Started all 18 games for the Wolverines, who posted a 10-7-1 record and played in the ECAC tournament…Notched a hat trick and added an assist in her first collegiate game, the season opener against the College of St. Elizabeth (Aug. 30)…Notched game-winning goals against Gwynedd Mercy (a 1-0 win Sept. 4) and Notre Dame (adding an assist in a 6-1 win on Sept. 16)…Collected the game-tying goal in a 1-1 draw against Frostburg State (Oct. 17), sparking a three-game scoring streak which included an assist in a 2-1 loss against Salisbury (Oct. 22) and a goal in a 2-1 win at Marymount (Oct. 25)…Took 25 shots during the season, 15 on goal… During the 2016 season, played at Camden County College, notching 12 goals (35th in NJCAA Division III) and one assist for 25 points (59th) in 14 games…Had two game-winning goals…Had two-goal games against Rowan College at Gloucester County (Sept. 6), Bergen (Sept. 20) and Middlesex (Sept. 27)…Collected her lone assist and added a goal against Cumberland County (Oct. 11)…In her combined two-year collegiate career, played in 32 games, collecting 19 goals (four winners) and four assists for 42 points.
 
High School: Four-year varsity soccer letterwinner at Haddon Township High School…All-Conference Second Team as a junior and a senior…Team Offensive MVP during junior and senior years…Helped Hawks finish as the South Jersey Group 1 champions and the state runner-up during freshman year…Graduated in 2014.
