One of the stellar players in Rutgers-Camden women’s soccer history, Lindsay Hernandez joined the Scarlet Raptors’ coaching staff in 2023 and has been a key member of the coaching staff since then. She returns for her third year in 2025.
A three-time All-New Jersey Athletic Conference player during her four-year Scarlet Raptor soccer career, Hernandez played in 52 games, starting 50, in the Rutgers-Camden midfield. She collected nine career goals and eight assists for 26 points, including three game-winning goals.

In addition to her NJAC First Team honor in 2022, Hernandez captured NJAC Second Team honors for the 2021 season and NJAC Honorable Mention in 2019.
Hernandez capped her collegiate career during the spring semester of 2023, joining the women’s tennis program and playing sixth singles and third doubles.
During her senior season on the soccer pitch in 2022, Hernandez started all 13 of her games before suffering a season-ending injury. She collected one goal and two assists, while also serving as a team co-captain.
During the 2021 season, Hernandez started 15 of her 16 games and led the team in goals (4) and points (9). She also earned honors as the school’s Raptor of the Week on October 4.
A standout student as well as a star player, Hernandez earned NJAC Academic Honorable Mention during all four of her years at Rutgers-Camden. A Dean’s List student with a Nursing major and a minor in Psychology, she was an eight-time member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and was one of only 21 athletes on the 106-member 2023 Spring AD Honor Roll to post a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Hernanez earned eight varsity letters at Brick Memorial High School, including four in soccer, three in basketball and one in lacrosse. She also was a member of the National Honor Society.
Hernandez graduated from Rutgers-Camden in 2023 with a BS in Nursing. She works as a Registered Nurse with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
