Biography

Emily Owens capped her Rutgers-Camden career with an outstanding senior season, earning New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team honors, adding her third NJAC Academic Honorable Mention recognition and tying for the team lead with two game-winning goals.
 
In 71 career games over her four-year Scarlet Raptor career, Owens made 52 starts, including all 36 during her final two seasons. She collected 11 goals and nine assists for 31 points. Three of her goals were game winners. Her 31 points rank 14th on the program’s career list.
 
A Dean’s List student, Owens added numerous academic honors throughout her career.

Soccer 2024: New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team…Scored the team’s lone goal in the Raptors’ 2-1 loss to Swarthmore (Sept. 4)…Served as one of the team’s four captains…Started all 18 of her games…Finished fifth on the team in scoring with seven points, collecting three goals and one assist…Tied for the team lead with two game-winning goals…Collected the Raptors’ lone goal in a 2-1 loss against Swarthmore (Sept. 4)…Notched the game-winning goal in back-to-back wins over King’s College (3-0, Sept. 15) and Bryn Athyn (4-0, Sept. 18), with both goals coming within the opening 7:30 of the contest…Took her season high of four shots in a 3-1 win over New Jersey City (Oct. 19)…Had three shots, all on goal for her season high, in the win over King’s College…Helped the Scarlet Raptors post five shutouts.
 
Soccer 2023: Started all 18 games for the Scarlet Raptors…Finished second on the team in scoring (13 points), tied for second in goals (4) and led the team in assists (5)…Collected her first career game-winning goal, coming in a 3-0 win over King’s College (Sept. 2), while also adding an assist in that game…Named to the Mayor’s Cup All-Tournament Team (Sept. 9-10 in Oneonta, New York) after scoring a goal during a 3-1 win over Hartwick (Sept. 9)…Named Rutgers-Camden Raptor of the Week on Sept. 11…Opened the season with an assist during a 3-0 win over Neumann (Sept. 1)…Assisted on the Raptors’ lone goal in a 2-1 loss against Washington College (Sept. 13)…Had a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win at Bryn Athyn (Sept. 16)…Assisted on the team’s only goal in a 2-1 loss to William Paterson (Sept. 22)…Scored the Raptors’ lone goal in a 2-1 loss to New Jersey City (Oct. 4).
 
Soccer 2022: Played in all 18 games, starting 12…Tied for fourth on the team with two goals…Also added one assist to place fifth on the team in scoring with five points…Took 16 shots, including 11 on goal for a .688 percentage…After starting four of the Scarlet Raptors’ first 10 games, she started every one of the final eight contests…Collected her first goal against Ramapo (Sept. 28) in the Raptors’ 3-0 victory…Had a season-high three shots in the Ramapo game, putting all three on goal…Scored 52 seconds into the game at Rutgers-Newark (Oct. 15) during an eventual 1-1 tie…Assisted on a late goal by Maggie Horn to provide the Raptors’ lone tally in a 6-1 loss against The College of New Jersey (Oct. 26).
 
Outdoor Track 2022: Competed in five meets in events ranging from the 400-meter dash and 4x400 to the high jump…Placed 17th of 23 in the 400-meter dash (1:10.93) in the season-opening Stockton Invitational (March 26)…Tied for 11th of 21 with a high jump of 1.40 meters at the Danny Curran Invitational (April 2)…Tied that high jump PR of 1.40 meters, tying for 10th of 18, at the Osprey Open (April 9), while also finishing 23rd of 39 with a PR of 1:08.88 in the 400-meter dash…In her final meet, ran with the 4x400 team at the Lions Invitational on April 30, finishing fourth of four teams in a 4:39.99 clocking.
 
Indoor Track 2021-22: Competed at four meets, including three times in the high jump, twice with the 4x200 team and once in the 200-meter dash…Made her track debut at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 5) to help the 4x200 team post a 1:58.17 clocking and finish seventh of 15 teams…At the Fastrack National Invitational (Feb. 11), tied for 22nd of 31 in the high jump (1.40 meters) and posted a PR in the 200-meter dash (30.56, 128th of 144)…Set a pair of personal records at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (Feb. 25), tying for seventh of 14 in the high jump (1.41 meters) and helping the 4x200 team place fourth of nine (1:53.49).
 
Soccer 2021: Played in 17 games, starting four…Notched two goals and two assists for six points. finishing second on the team in scoring…Took 18 shots, 12 on goal…Made her collegiate debut playing 17 minutes in the season opener against Elizabethtown (Sept. 2)…Had her first start and played 41 minutes against Washington College (Sept. 11)…Collected one goal and one assist in a 3-0 win at New Jersey City (Oct. 16) for her first collegiate points…Scored the Raptors’ lone goal in a 2-1 loss against Rutgers-Newark (Oct. 23)…Started back-to-back games at Rowan to end the regular season (Oct. 27) and in the New Jersey Athletic Conference playoffs (Oct. 30), collecting one assist in the regular-season contest…Played her season high of 63 minutes in the NJAC playoff game.
 
High School: Captured 11 varsity letters at Audubon High School, including four in soccer for Coach Bill Scully…Also earned four letters in winter track and three in spring track…Earned All-Conference First Team soccer honors as a freshman and a junior…Captured All-South Jersey Second Team as a sophomore…Earned Second Team All-Conference and State as a senior…Principal’s Honor Roll all four years…Graduated in 2021.
