Rutgers-Camden Athletics

A transfer who played previously at Chestnut Hill College and Camden County College, Lauren Celona made her Rutgers-Camden debut last season. She returns for her final season of collegiate soccer in 2015.
 
Soccer 2014: Played in 17 games, starting four…Took seven shots, three on goal…Made Scarlet Raptor debut in a 3-1 season-opening loss against Castleton State (Aug. 30)…Had first start and played a season-high 69 minutes the next day in a 2-1 loss to Oswego State in the Raptors’ second game at the Rutland Herald Invitational…Played in all seven shutouts by the Scarlet Raptors, starting back-to-back 1-0 wins against Cabrini College (Sept. 24) and New Jersey City University (Sept. 27)…Had her season high of four shots, two on goal, in a 0-0 tie at Washington College (Sept. 17).
 
Pre-Rutgers: Played at Chestnut Hill College in 2011 and at Camden County College in 2013…Appeared in three games as a freshman at Chestnut Hill…Earned All-Region and All-Garden State Athletic Conference at Camden County College.
 
High School: Four-year varsity letterwinner at Hammonton High School for Coach Lisa Cuneo…Also earned two varsity letters for track and field…All-Conference Honorable Mention in soccer…Honor Roll student.
 
Personal: Nicknamed “Laur”…Born April 22, 1993…Enjoys going to the beach, playing with dogs and baking…Social Work major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to travel and then attend graduate school following her graduation in May, 2016…Lauren is the daughter of Bev and Joe Celona of Hammonton.
