Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Injuries have plagued McKenna Williams during her first two seasons at Rutgers-Camden, limiting the talented centerback to only 14 games, all starts. A transfer from New Jersey Athletic Conference rival Rowan University, she has contributed to five shutouts and six games in which the Scarlet Raptors’ defense limited its opponent to only one goal.
 
Coupled with her freshman year at Rowan, Williams has appeared in 26 collegiate games.
 
Williams will serve as one of the Scarlet Raptors’ tri-captains during the 2025 season.

Soccer 2024: Started the Scarlet Raptors’ first four games before her season ended with an injury…Took one shot, on goal, during a 2-1 loss to Swarthmore (Sept. 4)…Helped Rutgers-Camde’s defense hold opponents to one goal in three of her four games, including a 1-1 tie against Salisbury (August 30) and 1-0 losses to St. Mary’s (August 31) and Mary Washington (Sept. 7).
 
Soccer 2023: Started the first 10 games of the season before an injury at Ramapo (Sept. 27) sidelined her for the year…In her 10 games, the Scarlet Raptor defense posted five shutouts and allowed only one goal on three other occasions…Her play in the back helped the Scarlet Raptors open the year with a shutout string of 324:54 minutes, snapped only by a penalty kick in a 3-1 victory at Hartwick (Sept. 9)…Contributed to three straight season-opening shutouts, including her first game at Rutgers-Camden, a 3-0 win over Neumann in the season opener Sept. 1…Added shutouts against King’s (3-0, Sept. 2) and Albright (0-0, Sept. 6) during that opening streak…Took three shots during the season, two on goal…Both shots on goal came against Albright…Also helped the Raptors blank Bryn Athyn, 4-0, on Sept. 16 and played a role in Rutgers-Camden’s 1-0 win over Ramapo before her injury.
 
Pre-Rutgers: Played her freshman season at Rowan University in 2022, appearing in 12 games…Made her collegiate debut in the Profs’ 1-0 win over Farmingdale State (Sept. 4)…Took four shots, three on goal…Her first shot, on goal, came in a 5-0 win over Ramapo (Oct. 15)…Had two shots on goal in a 5-1 win over Methodist (Nov. 12).
 
High School: Four-year soccer letterwinner for Coach Bill Alvaro at Kingsway Regional High School…Earned First Team All-Conference, First Team All-South Jersey and Second Team All-State…National Honor Society member…Graduated in 2022.
