Biography
Mya Bocchiccio completed her stellar four-year Rutgers-Camden soccer career during the 2022 fall semester, starting all the Scarlet Raptors’ games. During her career she played in 60 games, starting 30, and playing everywhere from back to forward. She compiled one goal (a game winner) and three assists for five career points.
Bocchicchio added another collegiate letter during the 2022 spring semester as a member of the Rutgers-Camden softball program.

Soccer 2022: Started all 18 Rutgers-Camden games, one of only three players to do so…Served as a team co-captain…Played defense and helped team post four shutouts and hold teams to one goal on six other occasions…Took five shots, three on goal…Helped the Scarlet Raptors post shutouts against Albright (1-0, Sept. 17), Ramapo (3-0, Sept. 28) and Kean (0-0, Oct. 8) during the regular season…Helped the Scarlet Raptors shut down the powerful Montclair State Red Hawks in a 0-0 game through two overtimes before falling on penalty kicks in the New Jersey Athletic Conference semifinals (Nov. 2).
Softball 2022: Appeared in eight games as a pinch-runner…Scored five runs…Went 1-for-1 on stolen base attempts…Made her debut in the first game of the season-opening doubleheader against SUNY-New Paltz (March 4), scoring a sixth-inning run…Also scored runs against Ramapo (April 16, Game One), Kean (April 30, Game Two) and in both games of a doubleheader against Stockton (April 26)…Scored her run in the second game of the Stockton doubleheader on the back end of a double steal, swiping home in the fourth inning.
Soccer 2021: Played in all 17 Scarlet Raptor games, starting four…Took seven shots, four on goal…Notched one assist…Made her first start and played 26 minutes during a 1-0 loss to North Carolina Wesleyan (Sept. 12)…Started and played 45 minutes during a 2-0 loss at #5-ranked Messiah University (Sept. 21)…Earned starts during a 3-1 loss at Stockton University (Sept. 29, playing her season high of 57 minutes) and a 2-1 win against William Paterson University (Oct. 2)…Notched her one assist on a goal by Emily Owens during a 3-0 win at New Jersey City University (Oct. 16)…Took her season high of two shots, one on goal, in that NJCU game.
Soccer 2020: Started all seven Rutgers-Camden games during the pandemic-shortened season, which was played during the 2021 spring semester…Collected one goal – a game winner – and added one assist for three points…Took four shots, two on goal…Assisted on Maggie Horn’s game-winning goal in a 3-0 victory over Ramapo College in the season opener March 10…Scored the game-winning goal in her next contest, a 2-0 win against New Jersey City (March 17)…Helped the Scarlet Raptors open the season with five consecutive shutouts, including a 0-0 overtime tie against Montclair State (March 31) in which she played 88 minutes…Also played 81 minutes against Montclair State in the New Jersey Athletic Conference championship game (April 14).
Soccer 2019: Played in all 18 games, starting one…Took seven shots, including three on goal…Collected one assist for one point…Made her collegiate debut in the season opener against Elizabethtown (Aug. 30), playing 43 minutes…Notched her first collegiate assist on a goal by Maggie Horn in a 4-1 win at New Jersey City (Oct. 5)…Contributed to a 1-0 shutout against Rutgers-Newark (Oct. 12)…Made her first start and played her season high of 78 minutes in a 2-0 loss at Ursinus (Oct. 23)…Contributed to a 0-0 shutout against Stockton (Nov. 2) in the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference playoffs, a game where the Ospreys eventually advanced by winning the penalty kick shootout.
