Biography
A multi-sport star at both Williamstown High School and Rowan College of South Jersey, Sabrina Baer joined the Scarlet Raptors’ women’s soccer program during her first semester at Rutgers-Camden in 2022. She continued her Rutgers-Camden athletic career with the 2023 outdoor track program.

Academics: Dean’s List student and a member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2022 Fall and 2023 Spring semesters.

Outdoor Track 2023: Competed in five meets, highlighted by a busy weekend at the Osprey Open (April 7-8), when she compiled 2,310 points to finish eighth of nine in her first heptathlon and also competed in the individual javelin competition, where she finished eighth of 28 with a throw of 29.00 meters…In the two-day heptathlon, she set numerous PR marks, including the 100 hurdles (22.45, ninth of nine), the high jump (1.25 meters, eighth of nine), the shot put (7.97 meters, fourth of nine) and the 800 meters (3:06.80, sixth of nine)…Also finished second of nine in the heptathlon javelin throw (28.96 meters), seventh of nine at 200 meters (31.08) and eighth of nine in the long jump (3.75 meters)…Opened the season at the Stockton Invitational (March 25), finishing fifth of 19 in the javelin (26.20 meters)…Placed 42nd of 44 in her first long jump for the Scarlet Raptors (3.32 meters), coming at the Danny Curran Invitational (April 1)…Set a PR in both the long jump (3.94 meters, 30th of 40) and 200-meter dash (30.37, 63rd of 78) at the Widener Invitational (April 22), while also placing 18th of 30 in the javelin (29.41 meters)…Set a PR in the javelin (31.69, seventh of 20) at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships (May 6).

Soccer 2022: Played in nine games for the Scarlet Raptors…Took four shots, two on goal…Made her Rutgers-Camden debut during the season-opening 2-0 loss against Lynchburg (Sept. 3)…Had two shots, one on goal, during a 2-2 tie against Alvernia (Sept. 7)…Contributed to shutouts over Albright (1-0, Sept. 17) and Ramapo (3-0, Sept. 28)…Had one shot on goal during a 4-1 win at William Paterson (Sept. 24).

Pre-Rutgers: Played two years of soccer and lettered in track and field for Rowan College of South Jersey…Helped the Roadrunners’ soccer team win two Region 19 championships and earn a pair of NJCAA Division 3 national tournament berths…Was a Division 3 All-American in both the javelin and with the 4x400 relay team as the Roadrunners finished as the national runner-up in NJCAA Division 3…Was all-region in the heptathlon, the 4x100 and the 4x400.

High School: Multi-sport star who earned nine varsity letters for indoor track, outdoor track and soccer at Williamstown High School…Was a four-year varsity star in indoor and outdoor track and field…Played soccer for Coach Dan Torcasio…National Honor Society member as a junior and senior…Graduated in 2020 in the top 20 percent of her class…DECA Regional Winner…Double-qualified for DECA States.

Personal: Born September 19, 2002…Last name pronounced “Bear”…Enjoys snowboarding, surfing and food…Health Sciences major at Rutgers-Camden who plans to attend grad school and continue playing soccer throughout that time, then hopes to “become a chiropractor, make a bunch of money, then become a pilot”…Sabrina is the daughter of Susan Flanagan and Max Baer of Williamstown.
