Sara Bockius returns for her third and final collegiate soccer season with the Scarlet Raptors this fall. One of the team's game day captains this year, she has appeared in 26 games at Rutgers-Camden, starting 18 and contributing two goals and one assist for five points.
Bockius also was a member of the inaugural Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, named after the 2015 fall semester.
Soccer 2015: Played in 11 games, starting 10…Notched one goal and one assist for three points, tying for seventh on the team in scoring…Took 13 shots, five on goal…Started her first seven and last three games of the season, including the season opener against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Sept. 3), when she played all 90 minutes in a 1-0 loss…Collected her one goal of the season during a 4-1 victory over Cabrini College (Sept. 4), scoring the final goal of the game…Assisted on Catherine Fiore’s goal with 11:39 remaining in regulation, which tied the game at 2-2 in an eventual 3-2 Rutgers-Camden win at Drew University (Sept. 13)…Contributed to 2-0 shutouts over Mount Saint Vincent (Sept. 16) and the College of Staten Island (Oct. 26).
Soccer 2014: Played 15 games, starting eight…Scored one goal for two points…Took nine shots, four on goal…Made collegiate debut in the Rutland Herald Invitational, starting the season opener against Castleton State (Aug. 30)…Started and contributed to the team’s first win of the season, a 3-0 shutout against Elms College (Sept. 6) at the Drew Fall Festival…In the tourney championship game against Drew University (Sept. 7), scored the Raptors’ lone goal in a 2-1 loss…Took two shots, both on goal, in that game…Played in five of the Raptors’ seven shutouts, starting four of them…Had the start and played a season-high 77 minutes in a 2-0 shutout at the College of Staten Island (Oct. 22).
Pre-Rutgers: Attended Burlington County College during the 2012-13 scholastic year, but didn’t play soccer.
High School: Graduated from Shawnee High School in 2012....Played soccer for Coach Drew Wagner.
