Biography

A two-sport star at Rutgers-Camden, Sarah Boucot returns to the women’s soccer program for her final season after a year away from the team in 2016. Boucot was all set to play her fourth year with the lacrosse program during the 2017 spring season before being sidelined by an injury. Prior to missing the entire 2017 season, she had appeared in every Rutgers-Camden lacrosse game (45) during her career. She played in 47 of the 52 soccer games the Scarlet Raptors played from 2013-2015.
 
2921On the soccer pitch, Boucot collected two career goals, one a game winner, for four points. In lacrosse, she owns nine goals and 12 assists for her career, while compiling 80 ground balls, 46 caused turnovers and 12 draw controls. She will enter her senior season ranking first in program history in caused turnovers per game (1.02) and is second in total caused turnovers (46). She also ranks sixth in ground balls (80), games played (45) and games started (44). In terms of single-season records, her 21 caused turnovers in 2015 are tied for third on the program’s all-time list, while her 14 turnovers in 2016 are tied for eighth.
 
A stellar student as well, Boucot was a member of the inaugural Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll (2015 fall semester) and also landed berths on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2016 spring semester, the 2016 fall semester and the 2017 spring semester.
 
Lacrosse 2016:  Started all 15 games, collecting three goals and two assists for five points…Had 12 shots, nine on goal…Tied for third on the team with 14 caused turnovers…Fourth on the Raptors with 26 ground balls…Added five draw controls…Collected on goal and one assist at Rosemont College (March 7), teaming with Nicole Martin for goals only 10 seconds apart, tied for the second-fastest goals in team history and only one second shy of the program record…Added three ground balls in that game…Had four ground balls apiece against Penn State-Abington (March 24) and Immaculata University (April 4), adding one goal and one assist against the Mighty Macs…Had four caused turnovers against Neumann University (March 31)…Scored one goal and added three ground balls at Rowan University (April 27).
 
2227Soccer 2015: Played in 11 of the team’s 16 games, starting one…Took five shots, two on goal…Made her season debut playing 38 minutes in a 2-1 loss to Mount Saint Mary (Sept. 12)…Contributed to three of the team’s four shutouts during the season, including a 0-0 double-overtime tie at Stockton University (Oct. 29) in which she made her lone start and played a season-high 79 minutes.
 
Lacrosse 2015: Started all 14 of the Scarlet Raptors’ games, collecting two goals and three assists for five points…Led the team with 35 ground balls and 21 caused turnovers…Notched five draw controls…Had 11 shots, seven on goal…Had two goals and one assist at Delaware Valley University (March 10)…Also had one assist against both Wilkes University (March 28) and Stockton University (April 7)…Collected five ground balls against both Delaware Valley (March 10) and Ramapo College (April 11)…Had four caused turnovers at Immaculata University (Feb. 28).
 
Soccer 2014: Played in all 18 games, making two starts…Collected one goal for two points…Six shots, two on goal… Scored the game-winning goal at 44:26 in a 3-0 victory over Elms College (Sept. 6).
 
Lacrosse 2014: Played in all 16 games, starting 15…Collected four goals and seven assists for 11 points…Took 22 shots, 12 on goal…Notched 19 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and two draw controls…Scored two goals in a 20-10 win over SUNY-Maritime (March 8), including a goal 14 seconds apart with Holly Cusick for one of the fastest back-to-back goal combinations in program history…Collected two assists against Wilkes University (March 10)…Collected her high of three ground balls on three occasions, coming in the Maritime game and also against Arcadia University (March 19) and Cedar Crest (April 10)…Had two caused turnovers against both Cedar Crest and (April 14)…Her draw controls came against Cedar Crest and Montclair State University (April 24).
 
8377Soccer 2013: Played in all 18 games, making five starts…One goal for two points…Eight shots, four on goal…Made her collegiate debut and her first start against FDU-Florham (August 31)…Started four of the Raptors’ last six games…Played a season-high 52 minutes in a start against Moravian College (Oct. 16)…Scored her first collegiate goal at 63:57 in a 3-0 win over New Jersey City University (Oct. 30), scoring at the goalmouth off the rebound of a saved shot.
 
High School: A versatile athlete who lettered in soccer and lacrosse at Paul VI High School…Played soccer for Coach Keith Walters…National Honor Society.
