Joe Pavlow returns to his alma mater, where he brings an extensive background in athletic administration for his new role as the Associate Director of Athletics at Rutgers University-Camden. He will oversee NCAA Compliance, Student-Athlete Academic Success and Transportation, among other duties.
 
A 1997 graduate of Rutgers-Camden with a B.A. in Economics, Pavlow received his M.S. in Sports Administration from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in 2015. He returns to Rutgers-Camden after serving as the Director of Athletics at Raritan Valley Community College since September of 2021. Prior to that position, Pavlow was the Director of Athletics at Rosemont College (March 2018-September 2021), where he also served as a Sports Management Professor (February 2019-May 2021).
 
An assistant baseball coach at Rutgers-Camden during the 2008 season, Pavlow went on to become the Associate Director of Athletics and Head Baseball Coach at Penn State University-Abington from August 2008 through March 2018.
 
During his time at Raritan Valley Community College, Pavlow developed a strategic plan to generate revenue and secured rental clients to increase revenue by $150,000 per year. Raritan Valley sent its men’s basketball, men’s soccer and women’s volleyball teams to nationals during Pavlow’s tenure. He also served on the Region XIX Baseball and Championship Committee.
 
When he served as the Director of Athletics at Rosemont College, Pavlow’s many accomplishments included helping to increase enrollment, adding a baseball program and renovating the gymnasium. He served on numerous committees, including the NCAA Regional Advisory Committee for the Mid-Atlantic Region, the campus retention committee, the Cleary Act team and the Provost’s Academic Council. Pavlow served as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator and was the AD Chair of the Colonial States Athletic Conference and the CSAC Membership Task Force.
 
A member of the inaugural class of the Penn State-Abington Hall of Fame, Pavlow was inducted in October 2025 for his stellar career at that institution. His baseball teams compiled 179 wins, won five regular-season North Eastern Athletic Conference titles (2011, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017) and earned him three honors as the Conference Coach of the Year (2009, 2016 and 2017). Among his many administrative duties, he served as the Compliance Director and was the Athletic Department’s representative for major fund-raising initiatives.
 
Pavlow served as an assistant baseball coach at Rutgers-Camden from June 2007 to August 2008,
 
Pavlow is married to the former Kim Kellogg, a multi-sport star (basketball, track and cross country) who was the Rutgers-Camden Female Athlete of the Year during the 1995-96 scholastic year. The couple have three children, Luke, Chase and Brooke, and reside in Holland, Pennsylvania.
