Freshman Kyleigh Stevenson won the javelin competition at the Gwynedd Mercy Mid-Week Twilight Invitational on April 12 with an ECAC-qualifying throw of 35.64 meters. Stevenson, who had finished second in the javelin throw in her previous two meets, won the meet in a field of 31 competitors. She also passed the ECAC qualifying standard of 35.48 meters after coming very close to that mark at the Stockton Invitational on April 1, with a throw of 35.37 meters. Stevenson, one of several outstanding freshmen in the Rutgers-Camden track program, also has competed in the shot put this spring.
