Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Sophomore midfielder Kaitlyn Ennis played a major role as the Rutgers-Camden lacrosse team posted the first season-opening victory in program history, defeating Rosemont College, 15-2, on Thursday night. Ennis had a team-leading four goals on only four shots, while adding two assists for six points. All of her points came in the opening half as the Scarlet Raptors raced to a 12-1 lead. She also added two ground balls, one caused turnover and a team-high four draw controls for Rutgers-Camden, which is 1-0 for the first time since the program started in 2010. A transfer who was a two-sport athlete at Wesley College, Ennis started her Rutgers-Camden career last fall playing a major role on the Scarlet Raptors’ soccer program. She started all 16 games in the midfield, adding a goal during a 3-1 conference win against Ramapo College (Oct. 1).
