Biography
An outstanding two-sport athlete, Kaitlyn Ennis has set a program record in lacrosse and has earned All-New Jersey Athletic Conference Honorable Mention in soccer during her brief time at Rutgers-Camden. Ennis played two seasons of soccer and one of lacrosse at Wesley College before coming to Rutgers-Camden for the 2016-17 scholastic year.

Ennis closed her collegiate soccer career last fall in her second season at Rutgers-Camden, earning her all-conference recognition. She begins her second year with the Raptors’ lacrosse team this spring, where she has junior eligibility. During her 2017 campaign with the Scarlet Raptors’ lacrosse team, she set a single-season program mark with 30 caused turnovers and also added 45 ground balls, tied for the third-best season mark in team history.

Ennis enters her second season in lacrosse already ranking 11th on the program’s career list with her 30 caused turnovers. Her 1.88 caused turnovers per game currently ranks first on the program’s all-time record book.

During her two soccer seasons with the Scarlet Raptors, she started all 32 of her games, collecting one goal and five assists for seven points.

Academically, Ennis earned a berth on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the 2016 Fall, 2017 Spring and 2017 Fall semesters and serves on the Rutgers-Camden Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Soccer 2017: Started all 16 games in the Rutgers-Camden midfield…Finished second on the team with five assists…Took 23 shots, with 10 on goal for a .435 percentage…Captured NJAC Honorable Mention…Collected two assists in a 5-1 win over Rosemont College (Sept. 13)…Also had two assists in a 4-1 win at Lancaster Bible College (Oct. 4)…Assisted on the lone goal of the game in a 1-0 victory over Kean University (Oct. 14)…Had her season high of five shots, two on goal, at New Jersey City University (Oct. 7)…Played a season-high 109 minutes in a 2-1 overtime win against William Paterson University (Oct. 21)…Played the full regulation 90 minutes in 10 games.

Lacrosse 2017: Started all of the team’s 16 games… Notched 21 goals (fourth on the team) and 12 assists (third on the team and eighth among single-season program records) for 33 points (second)…Led the club with 30 caused turnovers, a new program record…Second on the club with 45 ground balls, a total that tied her for third on the program’s single-season charts…Tied for the team lead with 46 draw controls (tied for eighth in the single-season record book)…In her first game at Rutgers-Camden, notched four goals, two assists, two ground balls, one caused turnover and four draw controls to lead the Raptors to their first season-opening win in program history, a 15-2 victory over Rosemont College (March 2)…Two of her goals in that game came back-to-back, 15 seconds apart, a time tied for the fourth-fastest goals by one player in program history…Named Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week on March 6…Had one goal, three assists, three ground balls, four draw controls and three caused turnovers against DeSales University (March 11)…Notched five ground balls and four draw controls against Delaware Valley University (March 28)…Had three goals, four caused turnovers, five ground balls and four draw controls against Penn State-Abington (March 26)…Collected four goals, one assist, four draw controls, three ground balls and three caused turnovers against Manhattanville (April 1)…Notched career highs of seven ground balls and seven draw controls against Gwynedd Mercy University (April 27), while adding two goals, two assists and tying her career high of four caused turnovers.

Soccer 2016: Played and started all of the Scarlet Raptors’ 16 games…Collected one goal for two points…Had 18 shots, nine on goal…Made her Scarlet Raptor debut and played 76 minutes in the season-opening 3-0 loss to 12th-ranked Swarthmore College (Sept. 1)…Played all 90 minutes and contributed to the Raptors’ first win and first shutout of the season, a 1-0 victory at Widener University (Sept. 3)…Played every minute of a 1-1 double-overtime tie at Drew University (Sept. 10)…Notched her first Scarlet Raptor goal in a 3-1 victory against Ramapo College (Oct. 1), providing the insurance goal at 77:35…Tied her season high with three shots in that game, putting all on target for her season high of three shots on goal.

Pre-Rutgers: Played two seasons of soccer (2014, 2015) and one of lacrosse (2015) at Wesley College, earning CAC All-Academic honors for both sports…Started all 18 games as a freshman midfielder on the 2014 soccer team, collecting three goals and four assists for 10 points…Had 23 shots, 13 on goal…Made collegiate debut and collected an assist against the College of St. Elizabeth (Aug. 30)…Had a four-point game against Notre Dame (a goal and two assists, all in the first half, as Wesley built a 4-0 lead on the way to a 6-1 victory, Sept. 16)…Notched a goal and an assist at Trinity (Sept. 30) and scored the Wolverines’ lone goal in a 3-1 loss to York (Oct. 1)…During the 2015 soccer season, notched two goals and two assists for six points, while starting all 17 Wesley games…Had 33 shots, 18 on goal…Notched one goal apiece against St. Elizabeth (Sept. 18) and Penn State-Harrisburg (Sept. 30), while collecting assists against Immaculata (Sept. 8) and Marymount (Oct. 3)…During the 2015 lacrosse season, played in all 16 Wesley games, starting 13…Finished third on the team in goals (19) and points (27) and second in assists (8)…Had 40 shots, 32 on goal…Led the team in both ground balls and draw controls, with 41 apiece…Had 13 caused turnovers, fifth on the Wolverines.

High School: Captured four varsity letters apiece in soccer and lacrosse at Northern Burlington High School, graduating in 2014…Played soccer for Coach Larry Young…Soccer and lacrosse team captain…Captured All-Conference Second Team honors in both sports during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons…Honor Roll student all four years.
