Junior midfielder Nicole Martin had another fine week for the Rutgers University-Camden lacrosse team, which split two games to raise its record to 2-1 for only the second time in its eight-year history. Martin had a team-high eight points and six ground balls, while tying for the club lead with five goals and three assists in the two games. She also was second on the team with five draw controls during the week, which included a loss at Arcadia University Wednesday and a win over DeSales University Saturday. The big week earned her honors as the New Jersey Athletic Conference’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week earlier on Monday. Now in her second season at Rutgers-Camden after transferring from the University of New Haven, Martin owns career totals of 40 goals, 26 assists, 66 points, 55 draw controls, 54 ground balls and 28 caused turnovers in only 18 games as a Scarlet Raptor. She already ranks third on the program’s career list in assists, seventh in points, tied for eighth in draw controls and tied for ninth in caused turnovers.
