Senior guard Vincent Anfield Jr. averaged 20.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 1.0 assists during a 1-1 week for the Rutgers-Camden men’s basketball team. A transfer who played last season at conference rival Montclair State University, his biggest game came against his former team, as he shot 11-for-16 from the field on his way to 31 points in a 72-71 victory over the Red Hawks Jan. 10. His performance included an amazing 7-for-8 shooting from three-point range as he came within one trey of tying the program’s single-game record, shared by three players. Anfield added six rebounds, three steals, one blocked shot and one assist against Montclair State. He followed that game with 10 points in a loss to William Paterson University on Saturday, when he added four boards, three more steals and one assist. For the season, Anfield is third on the team in scoring at 10.1 points per game and leads the club with 26 steals.
