Biography
A transfer from New Jersey Athletic Conference rival Montclair State University, Vincent Anfield Jr. also has played two years of junior college ball with the Rowan College at Gloucester County program. A 1,000-point scorer in his combined collegiate career, Anfield joins the Scarlet Raptors this season for his final year of collegiate eligibility.
Pre-Rutgers: Played two years with Rowan College at Gloucester County in 2014-15 and 2015-16…As a freshman, started all 23 of his games, averaging 12.7 points and 3.4 rebounds, while adding 59 assists, 27 steals and seven blocked shots…As a sophomore, started all 26 of his games, averaging 22.1 points (14th nationally in NJCAA Division III), scoring 575 total points (15th), averaging 4.5 rebounds and collecting 61 assists, 47 steals and 13 blocks…Shot 201-444 (.453) from the floor to finish 21st nationally in field goals and was 130-for-171 (.760) from the foul line to place 19th among all NJCAA Division III players…Earned First Team Garden State Athletic Conference honors as a sophomore…Played one season at Montclair State University in 2016-17, averaging 5.7 points and 1.7 rebounds, while starting 15 of his 26 games…Collected 25 assists, 10 steals and three blocks…Scored his NCAA career high of 17 points against Rutgers-Camden on Feb. 15, 2017…In his three-year combined collegiate career, he has scored 1,014 points in 75 games (64 starts) for a 13.5 average…Owns 241 career rebounds (3.2 rpg), 145 assists, 84 steals and 23 blocked shots.
