Rutgers-Camden Athletics

The top runner on the Rutgers-Camden men’s cross country team, junior Jason Hyland finished 12th overall out of 128 runners at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial Race on Saturday at the Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia. The 8K race featured numerous non-collegiate runners who were part of various running clubs, so Hyland actually finished fourth out of all the collegiate runners, posting a time of 28:57.8. A New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team performer last season in his first year at Rutgers-Camden, Hyland has been the Scarlet Raptors’ top runner at all five of their meets this fall.
