Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Freshman relief pitcher Gavin Cunard continued his outstanding season for the Rutgers-Camden baseball team last week, going 2-0 and adding his first collegiate season in his three appearances. He pitched six innings, allowing five hits, one walk and one earned run, while striking out four and compiling a 1.50 ERA. Cunard’s performance earned him his third honor this season as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie Pitcher of the Week. For the season, he has made 10 appearances, covering 20 innings, and owns a 4-1 record, one save and a 0.90 ERA. He has allowed 13 hits and eight walks, has struck out 22 batters and has held teams to a .181 opponent batting average.
