Rutgers-Camden’s standout goalkeeper Sean Boen opened his senior season in style, posting 1-0 shutouts over both Neumann University and Haverford College at the Cialella Soccer Classic Aug. 30-31 to earn honors as Rutgers-Camden’s first Raptor of the Week this scholastic year. Boen made four saves, including some spectacular ones, and broke up numerous threats while controlling the box. He raised his career total to 20 shutouts, fourth on the program’s all-time list and one shy of third place. A two-time New Jersey Athletic Conference Second Team honoree, Boen captured three NJAC Defensive Player of the Week awards during both his sophomore and junior seasons before adding this season’s first NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honor on Tuesday. The Raptor of the Week honor is the fourth for Boen during his stellar career.
