Sophomore guard/forward John Tatem had a stellar week for the Rutgers-Camden men’s basketball program, averaging a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds for his two games. In a loss at Rutgers-Newark on Wednesday, Tatem shot 8-for-15 from the floor and 5-for-8 from the foul line on his way to 21 points, one shy of his career high at the time. He added 10 rebounds for his first Rutgers-Camden double-double. In an 83-80 victory over Ramapo College Saturday, Tatem set a new career high with 29 points, including 9-for-13 from the floor (1-for-1 from three-point range) and 10-for-12 from the foul line. His two foul shots with 38 seconds left broke an 80-80 tie and helped the Raptors post their first victory over the Roadrunners since 2001, snapping a string of 17 consecutive losses in the series. Tatem also collected 10 rebounds, one assist and two blocks in the game. For the season, Tatem is averaging 9.9 points and 4.2 rebounds.
