Junior Rob O’Brien earns his second Raptor of the Week honor this year after a stellar performance at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend. O’Brien finished third in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes on Sunday, setting personal best times and running ECAC qualifiers in both events. His 10.92 clocking at 100 meters set a new Rutgers-Camden program record, breaking the mark of 10.99 set by Raphael Fuentes at the 2004 NJAC Championships. O’Brien finished third of eight in the 100-meter finals after qualifying for the finals on Saturday by placing second of 25 (11.08). In the 200-meter dash, O’Brien logged a 22.16 time to place third out of 34 competitors. His two finishes accounted for 12 of the Scarlet Raptors’ 24 team points. O’Brien also was the Raptor of the Week during indoor track season, winning the honor on Feb. 16.
