Bobby Foster (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) headed home the lone goal of the game late in the second half to power the No. 4/8 Rutgers University-Camden men's soccer team over Haverford College, 1-0, in a non-conference game here Wednesday afternoon.
Rutgers-Camden, which is ranked No. 4 in the
D3soccer.com Top 25 and No. 8 nationally in the NSCAA poll, improves to 13-0-2. The Scarlet Raptors extended their two-year undefeated string to 27 games (22-0-5), tying for 15th place on the all-time Division III list of consecutive games without a loss. They tied Ohio Wesleyan, which had a 27-game run from (Sept. 13, 1988-Sept. 7, 1989).
Haverford falls to 8-4-1.
The two teams played to a scoreless halftime tie, with Rutgers-Camden holding slight edges in shots (8-6) and corner kicks (3-2) in the first half. Both goalies – Haverford freshman

Mike Randall (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) had two saves in the opening 45 minutes.
The Scarlet Raptors finished with an 18-13 edge in shots, while the Fords had five corner kicks to the Raptors' three. Both goalies had seven saves, with Randall earning his eighth shutout of the season.
Rutgers-Camden returns to New Jersey Athletic Conference play Saturday with a 1 p.m. game at William Paterson University.
