Scarlet Raptors win two in a row

Box Score CAMDEN, NJ (Oct. 24, 2013) – The Rutgers-Camden women's volleyball team hosted New Jersey City University for their final home match of the year. The Scarlet Raptors beat the Gothic Knights 3-0 (25-17, 25-8, 25-10).


Michelle Dixon (Sicklerville, NJ/Eastern) had a game high 18 assists. Melanie Kaiser (Somerdale, NJ/Sterling) recorded 5 service aces and 8 digs.


Head Coach Matt Dever, "That was a solid team effort by the entire team. We knew this was a big match and we took care of business."


Morgan Halbruner (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern) posted 9 kills and 2 block assists. Cari Applegate (Stratford, NJ/Sterling) tallied 8 kills and 6 digs.


Rutgers-Camden only had 6 errors on 79 attempts with 38 kills. The .405 hitting percentage is second in the programs history.


Dever, "All of our hitters were extremely efficient, we did not waste many sets."


Rutgers-Camden (6-23, NJAC 2-5) will travel to Cabrini College on Saturday, October 26th to compete in a tri-match.
