The only hit off Sturgis over the first four innings was a two-out single through the right side by senior centerfielder Mike Bush (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional) in the third inning. Sturgis worked six innings and allowed only four hits and three walks, while striking out one. He surrendered two runs, only one of them earned.

The lead unraveled in the seventh inning on a pair of unearned runs, starting when Mangarella reached on a two-out error. He advanced to third on a double by junior rightfielder George Eisenhart (Harrison Township, NJ/Clearview Regional). Both runners scored on a single by junior first baseman Brett Solomen (Harrison Township, NJ/Clearview Regional).

The Raptors' rally made a winner out of Gaff (1-2), who worked the final three innings, allowing three hits and two unearned runs. He struck out one and didn't walk a batter.

Stockton senior starter Brandon Trainor  (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional) worked 7.2 innings, allowing six runs (five earned), seven hits and one walk. Trainor (2-4) struck out three.

Tenuto went 2-for-5 with one run and one RBI for the Scarlet Raptors, while Porter had one hit and two RBIs.

The two teams return to action Friday with a 3 p.m. game at Rutgers-Camden.
