MADISON, N.J. (Sept. 13, 2015) – With time winding down in their second game at the Drew Fall Festival, the Rutgers University-Camden women's soccer team went to work here Sunday afternoon.

The Scarlet Raptors scored two goals in a span of 2:18 late in the second half to rally for a 3-2 victory over host Drew University. The victory evens the Raptors' record at 2-2 after they dropped a tough 2-1 game in Saturday's opener against Mount Saint Mary's College.

In the second game, Stockton University defeated Mount Saint Mary's, 2-0, to win the championship.

Trailing, 2-1, the Raptors notched the equalizer at 78:21 on the second goal of the day by junior forward Catherine Fiore (Collingswood, NJ/Paul VI). Fiore chipped the ball over Drew junior keeper Andee Higgins (Lake Forest, CA/El Toro) after being sprung on a breakaway by junior midfielder Sara Bockius (Medford, NJ/Shawnee). It was her team-leading fourth goal of the season.

Minutes later, the Raptors scored a similar goal on a breakaway by sophomore midfielder Ashley Silva (Riverside, NJ/Riverside), assisted by sophomore midfielder Aubrey Andrews (Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights). It was Silva's second goal of the season and her first career game-winner.

Drew out-shot Rutgers-Camden, 17-14, in the game, but the Scarlet Raptors held a 6-4 advantage in the second half. Both teams had six corner kicks.

Drew (2-3) scored the game's first goal at 14:10 when senior midfielder Melanie Santos (Iselin, NJ/John F. Kennedy Memorial) broke the scoreless deadlock off a pass from senior midfielder Allison Rastelli (Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville Memorial).

The Scarlet Raptors knotted the score at 16:31 after defending in the box against a Drew attack. Senior back Kelly Barbone (Blackwood, NJ/Highland Regional) sent a long ball up the field, springing junior forward Catherine Fiore (Collingswood, NJ/Paul VI) on a breakaway. Fiore notched her third goal of the season.

The Rangers broke the tie at 26:21 on a goal by senior forward Emma Campbell (Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill), assisted by senior Shannon Slowey (Pittstown, NJ/Delaware Valley Regional).

Junior Angela Martorano (Somerdale, NJ/Triton Regional) collected the win in goal for the Raptors in her first start of the season. She made four saves.

Higgins made five saves for Drew.

Rutgers-Camden returns to action Wednesday when it hosts the College of Mount Saint Vincent in a 4 p.m. game. The contest is the first match in a doubleheader, which includes the men's team facing Cabrini College at 7 p.m.
