David Gurst here Wednesday, but dropped a hard-fought three-set match against Vassar College, 25-16, 25-21 and 26-24.
Senior setter/defensive specialist
Brooke Hassan (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) paced the Scarlet Raptors with six kills, 16 assists and 13 digs, while senior middle hitter
Sydney Allen (Magnolia, NJ/Sterling) had five kills, three assisted blocks, five digs and one assist.
Sophomore defensive specialist/setter/libero
Erin Thompson (Mays Landing, NJ/Oakcrest) notched a match-hit 21 digs, while adding two aces.
Junior defensive specialist
Caitlin Marchlowitz (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) added four kills, five digs and one assisted block, while sophomore outside hitter
Cortnee Wilkerson (Los Angeles, CA/West Adams Prep) collected four kills and one dig. Junior libero/defensive specialist
Melanie Kaiser (Somerdale, NJ/Sterling) notched nine digs, two assists, one kill and the team's only service ace.. Senior right side
Kristin Bellamy (Brookhaven, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) had two kills and the Scarlet Raptors' lone solo block.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action at the DeSales University Friday and Saturday. On Friday night they face Baruch College at 5 p.m. and DeSales at 7 p.m.
