Women's Volleyball has a 1-3 finish at DeSales University Invitational

CENTER VALLEY, PA - Rutgers-Camden traveled to Center Valley, Pennsylvania this weekend to compete in the DeSales University Invitational.  The Scarlet Raptors lost both matches on Friday, September 4th. Rutgers-Camden continued on Saturday, September 5th with a win over Gwynedd Mercy University, but the victory was shortly followed with a loss to Washington College.
 
Rutgers-Camden 0 Baruch College 3
 
Rutgers-Camden opened against Baruch College on Friday at 5:00pm.  The Bearcats beat the Scarlet Raptors 3-0 (26-24, 25-22, and 25-15). 

Sophomore Cortnee Wilkerson recorded 12 kills and 5 digs, while Sydney Allen added 6 kills.

Setters Brooke Hassan and Kim Bryfogle combined for 22 assists. Hassan also notched 2 service aces and 2 digs.

Erin Thompson, defensive specialist/libero, had 15 digs and a service ace.
 
Rutgers-Camden 0 DeSales University 3
 
The Scarlet Raptors second game of the day was against DeSales University. The Bulldogs beat Rutgers-Camden 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, and 25-18).

Senior Olivia Rowland had a team high 8 kills. Sydney Allen and Cortnee Wilkerson combined with 10 kills.

Setter Brooke Hassan had 18 assists, 4 digs, 2 kills, and a service ace. Erin Thompson notched 11 digs.
 
Rutgers-Camden 3 Gwynedd Mercy University 0
 
Rutgers-Camden opened against Gwynedd Mercy University on Saturday at 10:00am.  The Scarlet Raptors beat the Griffins 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, and 25-10). 

Cortnee Wilkerson and Sydney Allen each had 8 kills and a block assist. Wilkerson also notched 3 service aces and 3 digs.

Setter Brooke Hassan recorded 20 assists, 2 digs, and 4 kills, while sophomore Erin Thompson had 17 digs. Kim Bryfogle and Melanie Kaiser each had 4 service aces. Kim Bryfogle also notched 10 assists.

Rutgers-Camden 0 Washington College 3
 
The Scarlet Raptors second game of the day was against Washington College. The Shorewomen beat Rutgers-Camden 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, and 25-12).

Brooke Hassan notched 19 assists, 2 kills and 7 digs.  Libero Erin Thompson had 14 digs. Thompson was named to the DeSales University Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Olivia Rowland notched 3 kills, 3 solo blocks and a block assist. Cortnee Wilkerson had 7 kills, a dig, and a block assist.
