The Scarlet Raptors improved to 9-5 overall with their sixth win in seven games. They are 4-4 in the NJAC.

Rutgers-Camden leads the all-time series, 33-24.

In a game that saw six ties and 10 lead changes, the Scarlet Raptors had to rally in the fourth quarter to overcome a 44-41 deficit after three periods. They did that with a 21-11 run over the final 10 minutes, keyed by 10 points from Obasi and seven from Racobaldo.

Obasi collected the first two field goals of the fourth quarter on layups to give the Raptors the lead for good, 45-44. She added another layup moments later to make it a 47-44 game and the closest the Gothic Knights came after that was one point, at 47-46 following a jumper by junior guard/forward Jazz Randall (Parsippany, NJ/West Orange).

Racobaldo finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and a career- and game-high 11 assists, passing her previous high of 10 assists against John Jay College Dec. 13. She notched the first triple-double at Rutgers-Camden since Krystal Jankowski had 16 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists against Rowan University on Jan. 10, 2007. Her scoring output was aided by 12-for-16 shooting at the foul line. She also added a game-high four steals.

Obasi, meanwhile, tallied a game-high 24 points and a team-high 14 rebounds, barely missing her career highs of 27 points and 15 boards.

Freshman guard Ariel Robinson (Pennsauken, NJ/Camden Catholic) added eight points and five rebounds for Rutgers-Camden, while freshman guard Gabby Greene (Howell, NJ/Howell) collected six points and three steals.

Senior guard/forward Deseree Johnson (Red Bank/Monmouth Regional) had a big game for the Gothic Knights with 19 points and a game-high 18 rebounds. She had 15 points at the half as NJCU built a 30-26 advantage.

Randall finished with 12 points for the host team, while sophomore forward/center Sharaunda Fiedtkou (West Orange, NJ/Bayonne) scored eight points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

Although the Gothic Knights held a 47-45 edge off the boards and shot 33.3 percent from the field (22-for-66) to the Scarlet Raptors' 31.0 percent (22-for-71), NJCU also had 22 turnovers to Rutgers-Camden's 14. The Raptors also outscored the Knights at the foul line, 16-7.
