Emily Hilt...finished second in both the shot put and weight throw, breaking her own program weight throw mark
Misko earns second weight throw title, Hilt notches program record at NJAC meet
STATEN ISLAND, NY. (Feb. 21, 2022) – Rutgers University-Camden senior
Jude Misko earned the second New Jersey Athletic Conference weight throw title of his career and senior
Emily Hilt finished second in a pair of events, while breaking her own program weight throw record, to lead the Scarlet Raptors at the NJAC Indoor Track & Field Championships Monday.
The meet was held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York.
Misko finished first of 22 athletes with a weight throw of 17.64 meters, barely missing his own program mark of 17.71 meters. The victory marked the second time in Misko's stellar career he captured the NJAC weight throw title. He won the event during the 2019-20 season, but was denied a chance to repeat in 2020-21 when the pandemic cancelled the indoor track season. Once the NJAC resumed its indoor track schedule this season, Misko successfully defended his title.
