CAMDEN, N.J. (May 6, 2022) – Although the pandemic-shortened seasons of 2020 and 2021 limited the Rutgers University-Camden lacrosse team to seven total games over that span, they couldn't stop senior midfielder Claire Gailliout (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) from writing her name all over the program's career record book.

One of the top players in Rutgers-Camden history, Gailliout was recognized when the New Jersey Athletic Conference named its 2022 All-NJAC Lacrosse Team today.

A four-year Scarlet Raptor midfielder, Gailliout captured All-NJAC Honorable Mention for her stellar senior season.

Gailliout led the Scarlet Raptors in goals scored during all four of her collegiate sseasons. During the 2022 campaign, she notched 30 goals, while also pacing the Raptors in assists (13), points (43), shots (57), shots on goal (46) and free position goals (8). She was second on the team in ground balls (21), draw controls (31) and caused turnovers (12).

In addition to her All-NJAC honor, Gailliout was named Rutgers-Camden's Raptor of the Week on March 7 this season and she was the NJAC Rookie of the Week on April 8, 2019.

Gailliout started all 35 Rutgers-Camden games during her career and, despite far fewer game opportunities than most four-year letterwinners, she still managed to rank among the program's all-time leaders with 82 goals (sixth), 32 assists, 114 points, 170 shots (seventh), 135 shots on goal (sixth) and  five game-winning goals (tied for second). She also collected 49 ground balls, 26 caused turnovers and 44 draw controls.

Among the program's per game career leaders, her 2.34 goals per game rank third on the Rutgers-Camden list, while her .91 assists per game is the all-time record. She ranks second among career leaders in points per game (3.26) and is the program's all-time leader in both shot percentage (.482) and shots on goal percentage (.794) among all players with a minimum of 100 career shots.

Gailliout's four-game-winning goals in 2019 are tied for the single-season program record.

A Nursing major at Rutgers-Camden, Gailliout is a Dean's List student who was named NJAC Academic Honorable Mention during both her sophomore and junior years. She is a seven-time member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director's Honor Roll. Both the NJAC Academic team for this year and the Rutgers-Camden AD Honor Roll for the 2022 spring semester will be announced at a later date.
